Wangxian in Ep5 vs. Ep49.
It's always fun to juxtapose teenage Wangxian with mature Wangxian (let's just assume dying and what happened before that, and being dead for 10+ years did mature Wei Wuxian). And the change in them and in their dynamics is so well portrayed in these two screencaps.
Young Wei Wuxian, so whimsical, flirty and keen on getting under Lan Wangji's skin and into his personal space, on getting to know him; Lan Wangji turning into himself, physically maintaining distance and his rigid self control, avoiding direct eye contact, definitely not interested (as if!).
Some sixteen or so years and a resurrection later: Lan Wangji, so self-assured and settled into himself, fiercely protective and unbearably fond and proud, holding Wei Wuxian with his body slightly leaning closer, holding unwawering eye contact. And Wei Wuxian, more serious, looking a bit like he still cannot quite believe Lan Wangji is doing that, that this is his reality now, while giving him an assurance that all is fine. Their silent conversations ❤️.
