Hello everyone! Today’s craft post is a watercolour flower I tried out using my @arteza.co.uk watercolour brush pens. Now there’s one thing that I love about these pens and that is the amount of colours I get is unbelievable! I don’t have to mix the colours together, to try and get the right shade! I already have them! I absolutely love these pens and I highly recommend them, if you want to do those detailed images. The only downside is if you’re covering a large area with your colours, you’ll need to use proper watercolour palettes for that, these pens only do smaller areas, and the water pen that comes with the set can only be used after you lay down the colour, otherwise you’ll have to brush the pen across your canvas a few times to get the ink going again. Anyway, this is my first time doing a doodle, and I know I still have a long way to go before I can actually paint a full scene, but I still have time, and if I keep practicing I know I’ll get there one day! Hello everyone! Sorry Idisnt post up anything over the weekend, I had a BBQ at my aunt’s place, so I was stuffed, and didn’t spend any time on any of my projects, and I was resting on Sunday (since I tend to need a full day to recharge, after socialising), but I’m not going to neglect my duties! As you can see, I’m working with fabric again, and yes, I’m going to make another cushion cover, but this time, I’ll be making it with a zipper closure! Ah! I’m so nervous! I’ve never worked with a zipper before, so it’s an experiment, and if I get this right, I can finally upgrade my crochet, knitting and sewing projects! You don’t know how frustrating it is for me to have to settle for fold-over closures!!! If I manage to get this right, I might be able to start asking if any of y’all would want to buy my projects, but we’ll wait and see for now. That’s it from me today! Hello everyone! As promised, here’s the final piece! Ok so, it’s still a little roughshod, and it needs a lot of improvements, but I did warn you that this was my first officially completed crafts piece that didn’t involve a crochet pattern or a knitting pattern. This was all done in fabric and with a sewing machine. I’m all honesty, I’m pretty proud of it, since it’s my first time working with fat quarters, in sewing. I know they with more practice and more time, I’ll get much better. After all it’s all about experimenting and finding out which stitches are the right ones to use, and what settings you need.
