I went to have brunch a couple of days ago and ordered these delicious pancakes. The presentation of this meal was so aesthetically beautiful that I almost didn’t eat it.
Firstly, what catches my attention was the purple flower, I have always been fascinated by this colour, it is my favourite I guess is because is a colour related to creativity, and it combines the stability of blue and the energy of red for which makes the perfect contrast between the darker tones of the blackberries/ blueberries and the red colours of the strawberries/raspberries.
Secondly, the position of each element, for instance, the stack of pancakes on the right could predominate on the plate, but the fruits on the left gives a pleasant balance, for what visually gives an impression that the dish is full, but that is because the maple syrup fills up the white spaces of the plate, which my mind immediately thought that I was getting a bigger meal.
Finally, if you have a keen eye, you can see that there are other objects on the plate like the fresh cream and the cutlery wrapped in the napkin, and this not visually doesn’t obstruct the beauty of the dish due to its colours white which blends with the tone of the plate.
It’s incredible how we can find creativity in the small things in this case in breakfast, it mesmerising how some details can make a big difference and become appealing to people’s eyes. However, the exquisiteness of this breakfast, couldn’t make it, as my hunger was stronger than my will to keep admiring it.
