I am constantly fascinated by the ways in which, we as humans, unintentionally limit our self by projecting future disappointment; in order to prevent disappointment! On a base level, it appears as a sure system that will toughen us and prepare us for anything; yet that is farthest from the case. Obsessing about the potentials in which we can be hurt, saddened or let down, tends to attract them to us even more; in order to teach us about our strength and ability to transcend these feelings into higher realities. Even though it's harder for us to see these truths beforehand, or even during the moment; trusting in their reality and actuality is the key to leaving past, pain cycles behind. I was reminded of this lesson just last week; when the field of purple wildflowers that covers my backyard, began fading with the expansion of Fall. I projected brown plants, dried vegetation and a sad landscape, onto my previously, plush paradise; yet to my surprise, as these plants furthered in maturity, they became like an abyss of wild and personal wishes. Small, dainty seeds of life blooming from within the shrinking vibrant, flower petals; providing an earthy contrast to the green vegetation, awakening me into seeing more of the overflowing life energy still present. With change, it is necessary to honor the shift and what we know is evolving; however, it is crucial that we remain open to the unseen possibilities, waiting to unfold with creative purpose!
