OP Chapter 904 - On Belo Betty
Let’s talk about the new female character in the series:

I had an inkling as to what her possible sources may be ever since I read the spoilers for the chapter yesterday and I’d like to share my suspicions with you guys.
This thing was halfway done and I wasn’t sure if it was worth finishing it but heck, decided to do so in the end, because I rather like it.

Kid-Apoo-Hawkins Alliance. Headcanons Part 4: Killer
He’s been by Kid’s side for a very long time - ever since he was in his teens and the redhead was still a child - and, as far as he’s concerned, he will always be.
Level-headed and has the patience of a saint when it comes to Kid.
He encouraged Kid to study physics on his own so he would be able to understand and use his powers better.
He’s Kid’s emotional anchor and confidant. Killer's also his very own Jiminy Cricket.
The mom friend, yet he also fills the role of being Kid’s older brother.
Keeps asking Kid whether he’s wearing sunscreen - to which the redhead usually answers with a sarcastic “Yes, mom” even when he’s not - and always ends up having to take care of his sunburnt skin. He’s fine with this though, because it gives him an excuse to be sassy to his captain and reply with a “Told you so”.
When he’s on watch duty at night, he goes to the kitchen and tries to improve his cooking skills. Next morning, the crew always have a hefty breakfast awaiting on the table as well as some special dessert for lunch.
He always pulls his hair into a ponytail or plaits/braids it before he starts cooking; sometimes he will even take the mask off, but only when he stays behind to guard the ship alone or is on watch duty at night.
The real mastermind behind the alliance proposal. He had to convince Kid that he can’t do everything by himself and that they needed to gather allies to keep going in the New World.
Kid is the only one who has ever seen his face, even among the crew. In fact, he was the one who suggested that Killer wear a mask if it would make him feel more comfortable in public.
The reason he wears a mask is because of an accident he had as a child involving a heater; the grating on it scarred his face when he tripped and fell on it while he was playing. (For a more macabre setting see the Bonus at the end)
He feels incredibly related to quotes on wearing masks and hiding oneself.
Despite all the rather mushy things above, he DOES have a bloodthirsty side. Whenever he fights an opponent or is sent to eliminate someone, he enjoys the bloodbath way too much; he’s not the “Massacre Soldier” for nothing, after all.

He wears the mask because his face was terribly slashed by his own mother. His father left them when he was about fourteen. His mother was devastated and, since Killer himself was a carbon-copy of his father and she could not bear to see his face, she ended up unleashing all her pain and rage against her son, slashing his face in an attempt to erase her husband’s visage from her life. Shortly after, Killer ran away from home and ended up on a neighbouring island in the company of a ten year-old redhead with a fiery temper.

Kid-Apoo-Hawkins Alliance. Headcanons Part 3: Eustass Kid
Regards Killer as “his brother from another mother”.
Born to a prostitute and an unknown father in a busy trading port in South Blue, he was considered an “occupational accident” and a burden by his mother, who never bothered to even give him a proper name. Grew up poor and unwanted.
Surprising as it may sound, he’s quite knowledgeable when it comes to physics, his main area of expertise being electromagnetism, for obvious reasons.
An extremely short-fused extrovert.
He loves listening to music. He blasts it every chance he gets.
Collects weapons and toy robots. He keeps the one he made when he was a child as well.
He loves being in the spotlight and hates having to share it with someone else.
Better yet, let’s just say he hates sharing in general.
He brags. A LOT. Seriously, this guy loves himself so much he can’t help but show off.
He gets easily sunburnt. He's so pale and he forgets to apply sunscreen of some sort so often, that he usually ends up looking like a crab.
Extremely prone to throwing tantrums and going on rampages. Very violent ones at that.
Hates having to ask for help when it comes to doing certain things because he needs both hands/arms and he doesn’t have his left arm anymore.
Every time he removes his metal arm and looks at his stump, Kid feels a wave of self-loathing for allowing himself to become a cripple.
When pressure is too much for him, he locks himself up in his cabin until his bout of weakness and anxiety recedes.
Even though he’s confident most of the time, there are moments - when pressure is just too much for him to bear - when all his insecurities come out. That’s when his mother’s words - “You little good-for-nothing pest” - ring out in his head. Those are the only times he actually believes such claims to be true.

Kid-Apoo-Hawkins Alliance. Headcanons Part 2: Basil Hawkins
Is of Romani descent (or part Romani, at least) born somewhere in Eastern Europe, maybe Hungary or Czech Republic.
Raised in New Orleans or its equivalent in the One Piece World.
Loves religious music (any religion’s good) as well as classical music (especially Brahms and Liszt because of the Romani influence some of their works have); if both are combined like it happens in works such as Bach’s, Mozart’s Requiem or Berlioz’s Te Deum Hawkins reaches Nirvana. He also enjoys music that takes him back to his origins such as traditional Romani music or Sinti jazz.
He’s a rather decent harpsichordist; he learnt to play it back when he was a child, he doesn’t play it much nowadays, though.
He adores classic literature especially works like The Divine Comedy or Faust.
Is a vegetarian.
Is ambidextrous.
An introvert and extremely reserved. He relishes his time alone.
He’s been mistaken for a woman from behind more than once.
Collects tarot cards from different countries and ages/eras. He also owns a couple of shrunken heads he keeps in his cabin.
He’s passionate about anything related to occultism: astrology, santería, witchcraft/sorcery, shamanism, esotericism and ancient rites, especially the ones coming from Caribbean cultures.
A fan of aromatherapy, he makes it his duty to create the right atmosphere for each moment according to his own needs or those of his crewmates using essential oils diluted in hot water he leaves to evaporate slowly. If any of his crew members suffers from a bout of depression, anxiety or just a simple headache, Hawkins will make sure to change the scent to fit the needs of said nakama and make them feel a bit better (always discreetly and trying not to show just how much he cares).
Is incredibly fussy when it comes to decoration; he needs to choose everything personally, and only those that give him good vibes will make the cut (they need to have “something” special). Everything has to be of the exact size he had planned it to be, not bigger nor smaller.
Possibly low-key obsessive-compulsive.
His annoyance or displeasure is only shown by light and very subtle hand gestures, never (or very rarely) through facial expressions or the tone of his voice.
He doesn’t like being touched without permission, since physical contact with other people tends to make him uncomfortable.
He can’t stand practical jokers and has no sense of humour. He doesn’t understand jokes anyway.

Kid-Apoo-Hawkins Alliance. Headcanons Part 1: Scratchmen Apoo
Ok, leaving these here because someone asked whether I had any headcanons concerning the Kid-Apoo-Hawkins Alliance. Honestly, most of these are a few years old already and I have never given headcanons too much importance. Just to be clear, this doesn’t mean the blog will automatically turn into a headcanon blog. Hope you guys enjoy and appreciate this little treat I’m offering you.
An extrovert and very straightforward. If he wants to hug someone, he’ll just do it without a second thought and without considering the possibility of the other person might feel uncomfortable; he means no harm though, he's just impulsive.
A goddamn chatterbox. Seriously, he won’t shut up, not even underwater.
Music is his life. He’ll just listen to anything and everything. He also likes taking different music styles and trying to create some cool mix out of them.
He hates silence.
When he’s bored, Apoo makes absurd sounds (if he manages to annoy or get a reaction out of someone, all the better) or whines like a child (“I’m booooooored”, "I wanna go hooooooome”, “Are we theeeeeere yet?”).
He loves gossiping, whether it’s about other people’s personal lives or their Devil fruit abilities.
He adores being in the limelight (which is a possible cause for his humongous rivalry with Kid, who happens to love the spotlight just as much).
He’s one of those who think that the louder you talk, the righter you are (another thing he shares with Kid).
When he meets someone with a very volatile temper (see people like Kid) he can’t resist his need to rub them the wrong way.
He’s relatively prone to throw tantrums (not as prone as Kid is, though) and he becomes prickly rather easily depending on the subject you touch. Otherwise, he’s easy to get along with.
He loves boasting in front of his crew and he tends to “embellish” his feats, which is the main reason his crew believes he’s able to do just about anything (kinda like Buggy).
He hates running because his extra-long arms are difficult to control and he looks “ridiculous” when he runs according to his own words; although if he has to run to save his own skin, he will.
He loves having his hair brushed.
His eyes are quite sensitive to light, that’s why he always wears a pair of lightly tinted glasses.
He’s the master of terrible puns, like saying he’s an Apoollonian beauty when making fun of his own unusual appearance.
