It’s finally time :)
A lot more excited to share this AU since it was a huge obsession of mine back in November and even after, to the point I detailed a bunch of pages of notes just to make sure I had everything on hand (more than I can say for every single other AU I’ve made lmao).
Wrote a blurb for it too:
“A lonesome Pecharunt awakens in an academy very far away. Shaken and unable to recognize its surroundings, it lands its sights on a young trainer by the name of Kieran. He’s so strong and loved by many people, too many, possibly.
How could Pecharunt ever hope to get his attention? The boy gets to spend every day with all his trainer friends, while the Pokémon has to watch from the sidelines. That’s no fair.
Why can’t Pecharunt have that, even if for a moment? Just, be next to Kieran the same way his friends are. It’s a silly thought, but… it couldn’t hurt, right?”
Ok below the cut is gonna be the whole thing (and I mean it, about 90% of what I’ve envisioned is on there, it’s a big spoiler zone), will warn though as it’s gonna feature:
[Body horror (more of a cartoonish kind, but it still very much is), direct eye-contact, trypophobia and mentions of drowning]
Shrunk the BB league (and Carmine)
born to clown forced to midlife crisis
using rain dance against Crispin's battle (sorry if this has been done before)
Best Elite Four Member Tournament- Round 1: Match 4
Siebold vs Crispin
Siebold
Crispin
And our last match of this first Round is accidentally a perfect match up!
First up is Siebold, the Water type member of the Kalos Elite Four. In fact, he's the only Water type specialist in any Elite Four- making him quite distinct! And with his distinct ace Pokémon, Barbaracle, he's hard to miss. But when he's not battling, Siebold spends his time as a talented and well known chef, serving meals to other important characters in the Kalos region, like Grant and Valerie. A serious but passionate man, he toys with the question of art- is Pokémon battling an art? Is cooking? Both are fleeting but meaningful all the same to Siebold! What about this match? Is it art? And will Siebold be satisfied with the outcome?
In a very fitting turn of events, Siebold's opponent is Crispin! Compared to his opponent's Water, Crispin uses the sizzling Fire type- his powerful, EV trained Blaziken by his side! But Crispin is also a cook, albeit an amateur one, cooking for his fellow Elite Four members after their club activities. One day though, he hopes to take over his parents' restaurant, and I'm sure he'll do them proud! That brings us to the fact that Crispin is one of the Blueberry Academy's BB League Elite Four! Not an official grouping, but one of the toughest leagues around, facing down trainers in tough double battles that push them to their limits. Crispin may be the lowest ranked member of the four, but he still battles well, and maybe that will be enough to one day catch the attention of his crush, Lacey? Or maybe a win in this match would help? Can he pull it off?
