Gods help me, I’ve been infected. I blame my amazing mother-in-law.

Part of my Croning has been circling back to the Elder Futhark and rekindling my relationship with them. Another part has been reigniting my love for handwork.

Behold, an anti-nightmare spell pillow for children! Hand-pieced, embroidered, and hand-quilted. It will be on the Alchemias site along with the rest of the ritual and also some pattern options for people to make their own. I’m finishing up some other little odds and ends for a fully-fleshed inventory ahead of FaeFest in May (9th, in Austin, Texas), but these and other quilted goodies are going to be on display and available.

Don’t send help, I’ll just put them to work cutting patterns.

Antes de você eu nunca soube oque era o amor, mas no exato momento em que coloquei meus olhos em você eu pude senti-lo. Isso me deixou muito assustado, afinal, e se ela me magoasse? E se ela me deixasse? E se não fosse reciproco? ou eu não fosse suficiente? Seria o fim pra mim; então eu fugi no começo, antes que isso acontecesse, e quer saber? Aprender sobre o amor é isso, não significa que você não vai se magoar, mais uma coisa eu te garanto, qualquer dor que você sentir, nunca vai se comparar com o arrependimento por ter desistido do amor. E pra quem já sentiu os dois acredite, a dor aparece todos os dias da semana, e nos fins de semana é pior.

I mentioned to a friend that I'd just passed the 6-month mark of continuously being on my period, and she looked at me with the kind of abject horror that I remember feeling 4-5 months ago. It's incredible how quickly things become 'normal.'

I have thankfully been able to start reading books and fic again. Now if I could just stop falling asleep every day on my office floor.
