Rebirth of street busking

The preparation of Streetlance started in May 2011. Testing software, brainstorming, market research, exchanging ideas with inspirational people, re-testing software and bugs fixing...Just with one goal in mind: to offer creative’s, artists, innovative, designers, performers and entertainers a creative opportunity to make a living with their skills, talents, services, and ideas.

Lots of creative and artistic people, like you, are struggling to make a living with their talents nowadays. You may give up the hope and see a 9-5 job is the light at the end of the tunnel. Or you might say, even in this economic downturn, money doesn’t interest you. It's about the acknowledgment of your skills and works which gives you satisfaction and happiness. But for many ages creative's and artists are looking for one answer: how to get acknowledgment of your creative or artistic work and still make a living though?

If we go back in time, history has proven street busking is a common practice to make money and receive acknowledgment. Just like the old days this could be the answer for the current situation. Musicians, entertainers, performers busking the street on their pitch are feeling free, independent and happy with every coin ringing in their cash-hat. They are typically loaded with tons of talents. Performances can be just about anything that the passer-by find entertaining. Performers may do acrobatics, animal tricks, comedy, dance, singing, juggling, magic, musical performance, puppeteer, street art (sketching, painting, etc.) or street theatre.

No matter you are a street entertainer living hundreds years ago or playing guitar at the subway in New York right now, creative’s and artists are always looking for acknowledgment and the opportunity to make some quick cash. This disposition will never change. With this concept in mind, rebirth has been given to street busking: a marketplace to buy and sell creative services online. Instead of jobbing 9-5 or make quick cash on the streets, you can come up with things you can do for money online. Creative or artistic things. You can sell services online: drawing/sketching a photo, write and singing a song, puppeteer for website promotion, even designing a unique t-shirt.
