The Story So Far...

The Assault

Eira had no clue about the devious plot Romulus and Victoria had planned. When Echidna broke free from her prison and began wrecking havoc on the city of Myrefall and it’s inhabitants Eira had been building statues. Seeing the raging storm Eira steps out into the chaos in mirthful dance.

She brings her own chaos by taking Samudra’s rain and turning it into a weapon to hurt those around her. She continues dancing in her frost and rain for quite awhile until she comes upon Echidna herself.

Taking the opportunity she heals and buffs the snake before running off to head towards the temple, suddenly inspired to take the crystal for herself. 

Her plans are stopped short when Lenne blankets the area in a silence spell. Affected, Eira grows angry and murderous. Now more than ever does she wish to show Lenne her might and make her rue the day she tried to silence this Sorceress. In her rage she foolishly lets fly her name so any nearby will remember her identify.

Unfortunately she is stopped by Kamiizumi, who heard her earlier words. It looks like it’ll lead to a mighty confrontation.

Kamiizumi and Eira fight. Due to Eira’s underestimation of Kamiizumi her shoulder gets injured and she forfeits the fight. Expecting to be taken to Lenne, and possibly the temple as well, Eira is surprised when Kamiizumi knocks her the fuck out.

She dreams of her mother and is unsure if it was just a dream or if her consciousness somehow brought her back in time. She leaves her mother angry because the words her mother speak cannot possibly be true.

When she wakes she finds herself captive but unbound. Kamiizumi has brought her straight to Lenne.

Wonderful.

Lenne learns the truth about Eira and orders for her capture. Before Kamiizumi can attack Eira surprises them with an explosion of ice and lunges for the man with her tonfa ready.

He’s unfortunately too cunning and blocks the attack. 

Kamiizumi and Eira fight. Eira flees before she can be defeated and leaves the city. Knowing she can’t return, at least not yet, Eira travels for Sheffield.

The Assaults

When Barbariccia summoned the Manticore Laguna was busy in his bakery. The day seemed like a normal day (until the fire nation attacked) until the ground rumbled and the center of Alnwick cracked open, releasing the Manticore. Laguna quickly rushed to gather his weapon, choosing his sniper rifle over his trusty semi-automatic rifle. His fight with the Manticore is nothing special although he does manage to hinder the beast’s tail for awhile. In the process his bakery (and home) is destroyed. Weakened from the fight Laguna passes out after barely managing to survive the Manticore’s flame attack due to the crystal shards Laguna still possessed. His busy schedule and forgetfulness in returning them to Bahamut saved his life. While he dreams his memories of Raine and Winhill resurface. He remembers his tumble down the cliff and his rescue and recovery. When Laguna finally wakes he remembers nothing.

But who knows once fully healed he may.dfl Thanks to Khint Laguna is saved and he makes his way to the temple in order to aid Bahamut. He runs into Crisis and Meilin. While protecting the temple by fighting the orges gathered there another assault of fiends arrive. Grats converge on the trio, surprising Crisis and leaving Meilin winded. Tunnel vision has Laguna ignore Meilin, who was closest to him, and rush to the side of Crisis in order to save her from the Grat’s grasp. Upon slaying the fiend and touching Crisis several things happen. Laguna’s crystals react to something that Crisis wields. She ascends another level of limit break and Laguna remembers more things. Momentarily blacking out he recalls his visit in Centra at the Excavation site, he remembers fighting a ruby dragon and as the memories fade Laguna is left with lingering feelings of nostalgia. He longs to be that other Laguna with his two buddies. But something powerful has joined these memories and Laguna remembers the basics of Junctioning and Drawing magic. While he wields no GF his connection through Crisis and the crystal shards he wields, along with the mother crystal, allows Laguna to do these things. Drawing magic from the Grats and Great Ochus Laguna rescues Meilin so that they may go take on the manticore while Meilin temporarily stays behind to guard the temple.

During the assault of Myrefall a distraught Sceada Kazegami ends up running into Victoria - and learns of her role in the conflict and her hand in releasing a terrible monstrosity that claimed many an innocent life. Confronting her on this madness he believes to have been caused by her Crystal Shard, the Burmecian find himself sorely outmatched in terms of power but still opts for a last stand against the witch and, using his ingenuity as well as his own clothing and body as catalysts for fire, manages to knock her out. But was the high price he payed truly justified or will he find his sacrifices underappreciated by the people of Myrefall that have always regarded him with leeriness?

When her Quartier left her in charge of the temple and gave her command of the heroes, Aqua wasted no time. She called the heroes to aid her in this time of need, giving out the order to save who you can and fight the dragon in the sky. Although she defended the temple valiantly, the destruction of Calcheth was inevitable with so few heroes protecting it.

She kept the fiends from entering the temple to the best of her ability, but when the rogue Villain Axel burst through the side of the temple all of her hard work started to crumble before her. However with the bigger threat of more powerful monsters closing in on the temple, the two formed a temporary alliance to fend off the fiends. Dropping her guard for a moment was a huge mistake though, because the next thing she knew the villain had turned on her once more.

His hands wrapped around her neck, choking her, and the once proud Keyblade Master began to panic. The sensation caused her to see more visions that she never remembered experiencing. A man with silver hair and terrifying golden eyes. That was the image that lasted in her head long after Axel had dropped her. And it took her far too long to realize that while she was recuperating he’d damaged the crystal and fled.

After her confrontation with Axel, Aqua left the temple once more to see the damage that had been done while she was distracted. She was horrified to see Calcheth in shambles, and in a last bid to save some part of it, she challenged the dragon Shinryu herself.

The Assaults

Axel, wavering Villain of Calcheth, was offered a tempting deal by Romulus – summon a dragon from the depths of the volcano, command it to destroy the temple and the town, and his heart would be returned to him. Already unsure of everything, Axel took up the offer as a last ditch effort to get some answers, and so, the dragon was summoned, and the town and it’s people were under siege by both beast and man alike.

However, it seemed that it wasn’t so easy. Almost immediately, hero Vhaso'a confronted Axel with the intention of stopping the villain’s malicious attack. It was no use, as the pyromancer’s mental state was already too far gone. After a battle and more destruction of the town, Vhaso'a claimed that he’d begun to see Axel as a friend, which for some reason, triggered a more vicious attack on Axel’s end. Could his returning memories be to blame? Nonetheless, Axel fled the battle after realising it was possibly a losing fight… and possibly leaving Vhaso'a to die…

Axel headed to the Fire Temple, his head filled with lies, entire being filled with hatred. Knowing that the front entrance was an unlikely entryway, he made his own way in by blowing a hole in the side of the temple, and scorching the room he entered through. It wasn’t long before he was confronted by Aqua, who implored him to cease his attacks. The two teamed up for a temporary alliance against the threatening fiends. But once Aqua dropped her guard, Axel took advantage of her vulnerability and incapacitated her long enough to splinter the main crystal and obtain another smaller shard from it…

It became clear that he had no intentions of actually using it, however, when he (weary and drained of energy) made his way back to the volcano. Axel, wrought with bitterness, frustration and self-turmoil, was interrupted by Quartier Aidan, who verbally convinced the villain not to end his own life, and thus: Axel was captured.

The Assaults

Being in Sheffield meant that the Lord DeRosso did not have to participate much to ensure their victory. Still, even he could not resist the temptation of joining in the fray and leaving his mansion for once. He spilled much blood during the assault, both human and fiend alike.

Yet, for some reason, guilt plagued his mind as he slaughtered the people. Though advancing Romulus’ plans was the quickest way to ensuring his memories return, something felt incredibly wrong about killing so indiscriminately. Is he beginning to question his loyalty already…?

The Story So Far...

The path to memories is fraught with darkness

Cloud has been very active since his arrival in Asteros. Between misunderstandings with allies and the creation of an airship thanks to sympathizers with his cause (or perhaps simply opposers of heroes’?), his time spent here has rarely been uneventful. His newfound friend, Tifa, joined him at the opening of the Passion Parlor resort in Calcheth, where he had volunteered as temporary wait staff. It was here that more memories of his past life in another world came rushing toward him, and at the peak of an emoitonal surge, they kissed. At the same event, however, he partook in a sexually-overcharged food fight with the same villainess he’d had a misunderstanding with before, Ashe. As this all went on, Cloud’s fond memories and feelings for Tifa have been juxtaposed with a simultaneous urge to murder her. He knows that his Master Romulus would not approve of fraternizing with a Hero ... but will he give in?

The Story So Far...

 - Myrefall Mystery Ball - 

Throughout the ball Laguna danced little, maybe a dance or two, but his thoughts were preoccupied. Upon Bianca's murder he delved into the mystery. He took time to listen to each question asked to the suspects and compile notes, doing his best to help out others as they too decided what to ask. He himself thought carefully before questioning the suspects.

But as the night went on, small memories began to awaken in Laguna's mind. Various imagery of people, scents, and emotions plague him. He barely manages to push these thoughts aside to vote against Emerald. Laguna is positive she is the murderer and that Rowan is covering for her. Only time will tell if he is wrong and if these random thoughts mean something or if Laguna is simply losing his mind.
