september 16th, M.E 755 — disc of cauthess , duscae
we encountered titan today. all that climbing, running, and fighting left me exhausted. not to mention just how hot it is down there. no one figured to warn me about that. i thought my eyebrows were going singe right off before we got out. there was also the matter of that strange man from before ... he was weird but i didn't think he'd be part of the empire. though something about him feels offputtingly familiar. not like i've been around the niflhiem occupation in years ...
luckily, i managed to find an interesting little plant down in the disc. the fact that it grows in such a climate is a real testement to it's resilences. unfortunately i was only able to get this sample before i was being rudely ushered on. it doesn't seem to have any use to it but i just thought the petals were very beautiful.
[dried out, pressed, and taped to the page is a single sprig of the flower. it's petals faded and leaves arranged neatly by it. crude taxonomy notes crammed into the spaces left over on the page]
okay i think i've written enough boring stuff to run off any would-be snoops ... titan wasn't the most interesting exciting part of today. during the chaos at the disc i managed to fall (real impressive.) and i was sure that would be the end. someone caught me though. and not just anyone ... well, it could be anyone i guess. but the fact of that matter is that it was someone. that i didn't know. i'm writing in circles ... it felt like i was saved by some sort of guardian angel! or a knight in shining armor.
am i getting too old to be dreaming about knights and princesses? but they really felt like one! coming out of no where to rescue me like that? and then to immeidately disappear? it was like something straight out of a novel. it doesn't hurt to fantasize ... right? it's getting embarrassing to write about this anymore. i just hope i'll be able to meet them again. maybe without the mask on. / @cureburden
