I mentioned an au idea for Yandere simulator on this blog before, and I decided I wanted to make a fan comic of the idea!
Here’s a small plot synopsis for those who didn’t see it:
In this au, Ayano Aishi is Ayano Akui. She comes from generations of people who were cursed to have bloodshed follow them upon falling in love, their obsession consuming them whole. Terrified by this, she wants to avoid this fate at all costs, wanting to find a relationship of mutuality and genuine love without resorting to the tactics of her forefathers and mothers. However the curse isn’t as straightforward as she thinks, and her fated obsession becomes her own obsessor.
The three main characters here are Ayano, Midori, and Kuudere. All three girls are freshman in high school. This au takes place in 2015, the year yandev originally had it set in. I changed the last names of most of the characters to have them be taken more seriously and feel less parody esque. Their uniforms are a combination of the mission mode uniform mixed with the color palette of the navy blue ones to make them feel more sophisticated.
Ayano’s winter uniform has the same style undershirt as the Joker from Persona to call back to the inspo the game had on yansim. I gave her a hairstyle more akin to Azebeki as both women have the same goal in my story. She isn’t as healthy as Midori and Kuudere, as she is pretty stressed about her condition. Speaking of, I gave her grey leggings to symbolize that while she doesn’t want to hurt people, she still struggles with empathy and violent tendencies.
Midori has a hairstyle that was popular in 2015, and shows her more exuberant nature. Her uniform is a bit in disarray as she can be pretty scatter brained at times but overall means well (hence the white socks)
Kumi Demura (I kept her name as it’s already pretty normal) has a hairstyle based on Alice Cullen as I felt it suit her. Her uniform is better kept than Midori’s yet isn’t as buttoned up and closed as Ayano’s. Shes kinda the straight man of the group- she’s not as anxious or prone to being stuck in her own head as Ayano, but is a lot more serious and quiet compared to Midori. She’s logical, but empathetic to her friend’s struggles with her family.

This isn’t made to support Yandev, but instead came about from a hyper fixation on the game lore and what I would do with the characters personally.
