The circus was in town, boasting incredible acts and things never before seen. It drew lots of attention and interest from the town. It even drew Mel’s attention and he went to see the show. Though once it was over, he grew curious and snuck onto the circus grounds. 

He was careful not to be seen as he went, though staying out of sight wasn’t entirely feasible. Which was probably why he ran into someone. “Oh jeez. I’m so sorry,” he said quickly. “I know I shouldn’t be here but… I um…” He gave a sheepish smile.

Oscar sat up in his bed, disoriented for a moment. He'd had a dream, of an affair with the prince's betrothed... but it wasn't just a dream, he remembered. Months ago, the Plegian prince had been promised to a suitor, but the agreement was quietly broken off.

Now... the duke couldn't believe he was still having dreams about that demon. He stood up to open the window. He needed air, he told himself. But really it was a silent wish. An invitation, if Sam could hear it.

Lucifer hated his True Form. It was a cruel reminder as to what had happened to him. Occasionally, though, his emotions would get the better of him and he’d be forced to stay in the form fro however long it would take to calm down. Usually for days at a time if he was lucky. For now, he’d sought refuge in the woods, away from civilization. He was seated in a clearing, black eyes staring at the sky. 

It was then that he heard something. He sat up quickly, the charred remains of his wings spreading defensively. “Who’s there?” he growled, getting to his feet. Sun glinted of his horns as he scanned the edge of the woods, trying to find the source.

Anthony watched Sam for a moment, running a hand through his hair as he suddenly looked away. He swallowed and looked back, stepping forward to put his hands on Sam’s shoulders. “But… you said think, right? You-you might not be,” he said, studying him.

Carter was running towards the office, papers a mess in his arms. He’d gotten a late start that day and there was a meeting that he just couldn’t be late to. He was making good time and would have made it if he hadn’t tripped over a crack on the sidewalk. He fell forward, papers falling out of his arms and glasses skittering to the ground. “No! No no no,” he muttered as he squinted to see the mess of his things. He struggled to gather the papers, not noticing his glasses landing at someone’s feet.

When Two Fates Collide

High school, a fresh start from all your bullies and problems from any previous years. Or so the young girl though but just as fast as she gained a small sliver of hope for this new year she soon lost it.

The Sun peaked from the horizon as students began to arrive at this mysterious school. Of course Raven, as usual, arrived a few hours early for the city bus only takes you oh so far and she was determined to not be late on her first day. She sat and thought about what was yet to come of this year.

As time passed children and faculty alike began exiting out of their busses and cars. Everything seemed to be going suprisingly well, she watched as old friends reunited and others becoming friends in the blink of an eye.

She began to stand up and fix her uniform, paying close attention to the sleeves and her black scarf. No reason to get millions of questions about the scars that scattered all over her body. As she did so a group of upperclassmen boys began walking towards her with an awfully mischievous grin. She looked at them, knowing what would come next, her face remained expressionless and the boy in front began to speak.

“You’re not from around here are you?”

She remained silent, thinking of what to respond with. Immediately noticing the fast change in the tall boys expresions. He put a hand through his ebony black hair before speaking once more, giving off a sense of anger.

“What are you deaf? I’m talking to you.”

She started to open her mouth as if to say something then stopped herself and fell silent once more. The other boys surrounding her didn’t have a very larg variety of diversity between them except for height and small details. Nevertheless they gave of just as much anger.

“I see so you feel to superior to me, is that it?! Well guess what you aren’t. You’re just some freak with purple hair!”

Many other students began to state but they didn’t stop him either. The boy forcefully pushed the young girl onto the ground. As she was down he took the opportunity to grab her bag and dump its contents onto the floor, the others joined in, stopping on her books and any art supplies she cherished in it.

Once finished the boy smirked as he began to walk away, her face still with no expression, the other students just went back as if nothing had happened. She sat up knowing this routine all too well, fixing her books by straightening them and dusting them off from the dirt or sand that hand been on the other boys shoes.

She sighed for a moment, thinking about what she would do about them. Ultimately she no longer cared since it happened so often their words no longer hurt like knifes but like small mosquitos on a hot summer day.

Bella was out sniffing around the castle grounds, not straying too far from it. she had just found a patch of sun to lay out in when she heard a small sound. The hellhound paused and sniffed at the air curiously. It didn’t seem like anything threatening so she just trotted in the direction it had come from. 

She paused when she saw the ball of fur. She gave a soft whine and laid on her stomach to see it better, all four eyes focusing on the small thing. She whined again and crawled closer, pawing at the little fur ball.

Carter had long since settled into this life and, while it wasn’t ideal, it worked for him. Though that wasn’t to say he didn’t feel a certain amount of sympathy for someone who had to take part in the same career path, especially someone so close to the age he had been when he’d started.

He smiled at the younger man, already into his more charming persona. “It’s Drake, right?” he said, tilting his head slightly. Though he felt a bit weird about meeting like they were. “I’m Carter. It’s nice to meet you.”
