Parties had never been something Gamora was particularly fond of. They were necessary, from time to time, something often used to lower a target’s defenses, to make them trust you before slitting their throats, but they were never more than that. Like most things she had done under Thanos, she had never attended a party for her own enjoyment.
That was, until now.
It was, unsurprisingly, Peter’s idea. He’d chosen a costume for her, informed her that it was perfect, and asked her to attend alongside him. It was a difficult offer to say no to, and Gamora found herself accepting with more ease than she might have even imagined before joining the Guardians. And, so far, she was pleasantly surprised by the party itself. Glancing across the crowd, she felt her brows draw together as she spotted a familiar face. Carefully, she made her way over, stopping when she was side by side with her sister. “I did not take you for the sort to attend events such as this,” she said conversationally.
