I've been reading this book series and there is this anthropomorphic bug species in it and I have a very clear image in my head of them that I know is based on a bug person I've seen before but I cannot remember what it was and I've been wracking my brain until I just realized I think it was on a book cover from one of the blorbo polls but I certainly don't remember which one and am hoping that maybe you or a follower can locate it? In my head it's a very vintage sci-fi book cover and the bug person has a very oval/football shaped head, and there's also a chance it's not actually a bug person and just some weird sort of space suit with a bug helmet. Any ideas?

Ok so I went and checked the ol' season 2 spreadsheet and looked at every image link that was marked as blue (so no character image, this is where most book covers would be) and I didn't find anything that matched your description. Now that doesn't mean for sure that it wasn't in the tournament, especially if you think it was in season 1, but for now I think I'll send it over to the blorbo sleuths in mission codename: bug me to the space

if you can provide any additional details it would help in the investigation.

I just watched the episode in 2013 where Dodger is babysitting Kathleen Angel and he ends up in a tutu with glitter all over his face and it was so cute.

Thank you @daisyishedwig and @annepi-blog for tagging me! Miraculously, I have actually done a bit of writing recently - I've been working on a little St. Hummel request for a friend. I've never written Jesse before, so it's been a fun challenge, but here's a little excerpt that I'm particularly pleased with!

“Anyway, I came over to tell you that you have a very impressive voice. Countertenors are rare, you know. I almost became one, but I decided I would get more respect in the theatre world as a tenor.” “You… that’s not how it works,” Kurt says dumbly. “I think it is,” Jesse argues knowingly, “I get lots of respect, so I think I would know.” “I’m sure you do.”

R: Which writers (fanfic or otherwise) do you consider the biggest influence on you and your writing?

i don’t know if my writing is directly influenced by anyone, but started to read glee fanfiction last year, and i wouldnt be on tumblr/writing if it wasn’t for @rockitmans @little-escapist and @quizasvivamos ;; seeing that they were still writing klaine fanfiction that i was obsesssed with and that they all had tumblrs kinda convinced me to try writing again/make a tumblr myself !!

U: Is there a pairing you would like to write, but haven’t tried yet?

ohhhh faberry. its going to happen at some point. i need to read more fics first tho, and i have such a difficult time reading while im writing. once inspiration strikes, though, its happening…

X: How would you categorize your fanfic reading?  Are you a voracious reader?  Do you carefully pick and choose?  Something in between?

i’m pretty selective, but being mutuals with a lot of other writers has gotten me to read a lot of fics that i probably would have never read/clicked on myself!! its been really cool

and i read in bursts. i wont read for weeks and then its suddenly all i want to do. once i start reading something, i normally see it to the end

D. A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.

Interesting... I think for me it's more the about pairings I wished I loved but that I was/am mostly indifferent towards (which has been like all of fandom for the last near-decade). Back in Glee, I was quite annoyed that I didn't like Santana/Brittney but I actively didn't like both of the individuals to be honest. Now... I'd really like to get into Ed/Stede and may fall into that if I tire of Good Omens, but it's very dark and that puts me off a bit. Love them though, don't get me wrong.

I. Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?

Not that I can think of. Corners of fandom always drive me insane but I think I always manage to find the right crowd and carve out somewhere to exist. Creators and canon on the other hand...

K. What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

Prepare for a deep cut, because I was about to give up on this because it's a hard question but as I riffled through every fandom I've ever spent time in... Aeryn Sun in Farscape. That is proper character work within proper world-building, built up with proper acting and an amazing creative team. And such a love story.

V. Which character do you relate to most?

Whichever one I'm writing pov from, or I wrote from whichever character I'm relating to most. Or projecting, I think, is a more apt description. So at the moment, Crowley. Rejected, bad, misfit, and wondering what the point even is. Pragmatic, sarcastic, easily burning but also quick to hide it. I mean, I keep reblogging the memes, but basically a lot of fandom peeps fill that archetype.

Do you know if anyone saved My Beautiful Rescue? The original author's tumble appears to be gone and it doesn't seem like it was crossposted to AO3 or FF.net.

It looks like the original author changed their URL, which broke the links in the posts (although it seems to work for me on mobile, just not on desktop - very strange!). If you click the link and then replace their old url with the new one (adamandkurt -> kitcantblog) it seems to take you to the right place!
