what happened 😭😭😭 i read the book for pregaming purposes Ages ago and wish the show stuck to its surreal and psychological guns </3 metaphorical horrors of lavalle’s prose were replaced with inexplicable and frankly laaaame “tangible” scares that really kinda dragged the latter half of the show down ☹️ unsure if a longer season would’ve benefited it more … don’t think i didn’t notice the removed love interest for pepper #NOSEXSCENES #GIVEUSTHESEXCUT (completely joking. but they made me read multiple sex scenes and for WHAT 😭💔)

torn up on the characterization too! again, i can’t help but feel that the novel was betterrrrr especially regarding coffee! sadly a lot of the nuances about mental health and the exploitation of the system was lost in the show’s execution ☹️ every time they touched upon on the importance of naming and the loss of identity i could’ve wept though. i should clarify that im writing this all with twenty minutes left and some absolutely stupid ass shit just happened 😭😭😭 OH MY DAYS
