thoughts on how i am the best. also the best season of the simpsons please
you: well you have EXCELLENT taste in the media you consume and always provide good takes. your choice in chocolate is also top notch. you are a FASHIONISTA and invented purple. you are INCREDIBLY kind, funny, loyal and smart. you have helped me through so much and i LOVE spending time with you. i miss you and i think if you want to remain The Best you should visit me soon. love you.
the simpsons: SEASON SIX IS THE BEST. now i know that 4, 5, 6 & 8 are considered the GOLDEN OF THE GOLDEN AGE but imo, season six tops the rest. it starts with bart of darkness which is hilarious (the entire end scene is BRILLIANT), iconic lines (“can we have a pool dad can we have a pool dad can we have a pool dad”), and has excellent cultural references. and then it ends with who who shot mr burns part 1 which is the best two parter in history. treehouse of horror x has objectively the two best segments in the series - the shinning & time and punishment.
personally, lisa’s wedding is my all time favourite episode. it’s heartwarming and clever and funny and the best future episode, as well as one of the best lisa episodes. it also has my second favourite episode, and maggie makes three. it’s such a funny and beautiful episode (as the flashback episodes often are), but what makes it stand out for me is the ending. as far as i’m concerned, Do It For Her is the most touching moment in the series, and one of the most memorable ones.
i could easily do an in depth explanation of why every season six episode is fantastic, but it would take forever and i’m on mobile. so here are the other standouts from the best season in television history: itchy & scratchy land, lisa on ice, homer badman, fear of flying, homer the great, bart’s comet, bart vs australia, round springfield and lemon of troy.
i think you could make a solid argument for every golden era season being the best. but to me, season six is unbeatable. it’s filled with so many funny and heartwarming moments, is consistently clever, and each family member has several amazing stories to tell. i will never love a season of a show the way i love the sixth season of the simpsons.
