It seems like nowadays there is nothing our smartphone can't do. Day after day more and more apps are released and a new technology is always coming out. We know it's hard to stay updated with everything that goes on in the tech world, but we thought these apps were interesting, to say the least.
Tap App: This app teaches you the 12 foundational steps of tap dancing through a set of images, a demonstration video or written explanation. If only 12 steps are not enough for you, you can purchase two expansion packs of 11 steps each.
Ballet For Beginners: This app features over 200 lessons for both beginners and intermediate ballet students. Their video tutorials cover everything from the perfect plié to a more complex pirouette. The app also has a FAQ section where it answers typical questions about ballet, such as which shoe would be best for you and other ballet lifestyle questions.
Bboy Step by Step: This one app is extremely similar to those home workout videos you can buy online. Teacher Jeromeskee guides you through warm-ups, footwork exercises and etc. This app includes 15 videos that use a virtual teaching style, where you follow teacher Jeromeskee on whatever he is doing.
A lot of dancers use these apps for additional training at home, but we're not even close to being convinced this could ever be as good as getting instructions from the Dance Doctor himself. If you end up trying any of these apps, let us know! (Dance Magazine)
