So I have been having this in my mind since yesterday and since I'm probably not gonna write it I'm letting it out into the world so someone will.
Hear me out, Dancers AU. Shane suffered through an injury and his going through physio therapy and supposedly everything is okay? But his nerves are jittery, his nervous system is on edge, just skating for fun is difficult. Something is wrong. Cue Rose or the doctor I dunno suggests to him to do something else other than ice and hockey for now. Something that should let his body let loose while keeping him active. Like how ppl always say swimming is important regardless of what sport you're a professional at. But Shane doesn't like the smell of chlorine. So Rose suggests dancing and she knows that really really famous pro dancer who coached her for one of her movies. Shane thinks about it. Makes a pros and cons list. Finally looks up Rozanov to get more data. And he sees this hulk of a man sweeping his partner off in a classic ballroom dancing style and in another video he moves his hips like no other in the most seductive and controlled manner all with a smirk on his face because he genuinely enjoys it. And shane is entranced. He binge watches all the content existing about Rozanov including yt edits.
In a last attempt to rationalize this whole thing shane tells himself "hey he is the best in the field and Rose recommended him it's not like I wanna see him or anything."
Shane gets to the studio early. Very early. He likes it that way though. He can scope out the premises. Inspect the mirrors, the floor, stretch out a bit to work away his nerves, and finally he finds out that he can dim the lights to a very perfect lighting. Shane pulls away the curtains and spots a beautiful view over a park and muses that he might go there later.
Rozanov just happened to enter the room. The door was open. And his eyes roam over the back of shane and he thinks to himself "oh wow. Fuck." Because no Rozanov doesn't check his students' profiles before the first class no he doesn't need that thank you very much. He doesn't need to get any preconceived ideas about the person. Since dancing is an intimate process and having any kind of expectations from the student could turn out to be a burden. Well anyways, Rozanov just didn't expect to get a jock as his current VIP project but like okay he has taught plenty of men before. He helped lots of people connect well with their body so okey.
Rozanov coughs to get his attention and his student turns around and oh no he's so fucking pretty.
Smells Like Teen Hormones
Summary: Charles just transferred to St. Hilarion's and sees the most beautiful boy across the lawn. Edwin Payne is the prima ballerino of St. Hilarion's dance program and a well known ice queen. But, it's not like something like that could stop Charles Rowland.
AN: I wrote this for deadboyween's free day, but got kind of stuck halfway through. This really deserves to be a lot longer and slower, but I just wanted to hit the scenes I thought was fun. I hope you enjoy it!
The first time Charles Rowland saw Edwin Payne, he almost tripped and fell on his face.
Charles had been aware when he got the sports scholarship to St. Hilarion’s that what it was well known for was its dance program. That had smarted a little bit, because Charles knew that if his skin wasn’t so dark and the type of dance that he practiced was something classy like ballet, he could have gotten a scholarship for his dancing. Instead, he got a scholarship for cricket, which wasn’t that bad as Charles sincerely liked cricket. But, it wasn’t dancing.
What Charles hadn’t realized when he transferred to St. Hilarion’s was that a dance program would have boys as well as girls. And not just fit b-boys like the boys who had been in his crew with him. No, beautiful posh boys with legs for days and porcelain skin who moved like water when they walked across the quad.
Crystal Palace and Edwin Payne (Ex-Dancers AU)
For all that Edwin dances with Charles in the kitchen, spins Charles around to hear Charles’ laughter spill across the kitchen tiles and counters, Edwin has never danced professionally with anyone other than Crystal.
It is a tribute to her, that a good decade after that final fight, both of them storming off, both of them blowing up the ground beneath their feet to prove themselves right, he has never found someone who he trusted as much as her. Never found someone whose skills and personality aligned with his, no one who could make up for several years of bonding beneath the bullshit they had to put up with from parents and coaches and the entire ballroom scene that they had to face together with every competition, hair shellacked back and costumes in place and hearts racing in their chests.
Because practice sessions might have been more bitchfest than kindness. Rehearsals might have devolved from the sort of critique that helped to the sort of fights that aimed for the fucking jugular.
But on that final night, when he confronted her about David, the new coach she was seeing, the new boyfriend she was dating after her messy break-up with Charles, the new disaster in her life, he hadn’t meant for things to go so badly. He hadn’t meant for their partnership- and the closest thing that either of them had to a friendship- to fall apart in a fucking hurricane of thrown words and insults sharpened off of years of learning exactly how to land hits where they hurt.
Because at the end of the day, Crystal Palace was Edwin’s mirror in more ways than just one.
-aletterinthenameofsanity, you sit around getting older (we're just dancing in the dark)

Here's a lil dancers AU I sketched a while back based off of a tiktok :33
Hellooo ✨ Thank you very much for creating this blog, is an incredible resource!
I would like to ask you if you remember an unfinished human AU! fic based on a Strictly Come Dancing setting (I guess, never watched that show). Aziraphale is the professional dancer, Crowley an actor who's trying to get more attention from the audience to get more roles. At first they hate eachother, but the attraction is undeniable. It's beautifully written by two authors who said they would have probably kept writing again once the s.2 have been broadcasted. I can't find it anywhere, though, and I'm afraid it had been cancelled :(
Thank you very much!
Have a nice day 🎀
I think it's probably this one!

Dust off your dancing shoes, because it’s that time of year again! The new season of Strictly Come Dancing starts TONIGHT on BBC One! A brand new crop of celebs are getting ready to compete for the coveted Glitterball trophy, and they’re a mixed bunch— ranging from beloved telly presenter Eve Gardener to washed-up stage and screen actor Anthony J Crowley.
Whose tango will tantalise? Whose cha-cha will charm us? And who will be doomed by their dreadful, dreadful salsa? Join us every second Saturday at 7pm to find out!

Aziraphale is a professional, Crowley is a contestant, and the BBC needs viewers. Does what it says on the tin, if the tin has a whopping great “STRICTLY COME DANCING AU” label on it.

Ballerina Irida x Breakdancer Adaman.
Welp, it finally happened. I feel I lost my spark to draw digitally which is what people like the most, but as I said to my mutuals, I really only draw for myself. Anyway, I still try to draw often but I just do it traditionally.
These are the ones I did this week. I'm rewatching dance moms at work and I just had an idea for a professional dancers AU that only exists in detail in my head but you get to see my art concepts about it.
