DANNY JOHNSON (THE GHOSTFACE) HEADCANONS‼️
These are personal headcanons I have in mind when drawing or writing him, some may be based on stuff I've seen in the community or some are just random stuff I like. Idk I've just been thinking about him a lot and wanted to write it down!
1° Visually:
- He wears glasses when he is working as Jed, but the thing is, these are not fake. He has miopia and he is super annoyed about that. He uses contact lenses when going out as Ghostfaced. When he got into the fog the Entity eliminated his miopia so he doesn't use glasses anymore. (The Entity is chill like that).
- He is a strong guy but not like, muscular type of guy. He looks like a pretty standard man, but he is strong. He was trained since he was young by his father, and he has maintained that strength over the years.
- He has hairy eyebrows, he grows a lot of hair there. He keeps them tidy but with certain precision. He doesn't let them be too short, but not too big either, mostly aiming at a "generic eyebrow size the stereotypical guy everyone imagines have".
- He has brownish-dark hair, always keeping it short and well kept. He let it go a bit in the fog but also it doesn't grow a lot there. He also cannot grow a bear lmao he can grow a bit of hair but yeah not a lot.
- He's not very tall, 1'70-1'75 meters.
-He's genuinely the stereotypical "random guy" you can see everywhere. Or at least he made an effort to look like it back before the fog.
- Also, not visually itself but I headcanon him as having around 35y. when the Entity got him. If I remember correctly his lore mentions him traveling around different areas and having different jobs (I think?? Not sure about the job part) so it makes sense that by the time he's kidnapped he's a bit older, he's been killing as Ghostface for a while.
- Although he tended to lose a lot of sleep stalking, he always made sure to not look super sleep deprived, even using makeup to cover his eyebags. In the fog, he doesn't care, and although he doesn't really lose sleep the same he just has very bad sleeping habits aaand really noticeable eyebags, although that may be the Entity's fault making them more noticeable naturally.
2° Things about him:
- He's always been very good at controlling himself and his emotions. He decides what you see of him while he is acting as Jed. However, he does have a bit of a weird vibe that sometimes he can't control. As a reporter, he works in an office setting a lot, and he is that one guy that is not bad but will make the room uncomfortable every now and then. Sometimes it's intentional, but a lot of time it isn't. Like yeah no one will think anything of it in relation to the Ghostface murders, but they will do a fake laugh about it and go on with their day. Guys like that were too common so they didn't think a lot about it, and since he's not a bad coworker itself and he's like, the top reporter there, they just attach it to him being socially awkward or having too much of an ego sometimes.
- Although he used to stalk various targets at a time, he always got obsessed with at least one. He's extremely curious and anything out of the ordinary would turn his brain on, focusing a lot more on that one target. This was definitely not good for the poor victim, and it always brought the more bloody Ghostface cases. In the fog, he can't do that with survivors, so he stalks his fellow killers and gathers as much info as he can out of them for fun. It's a thing that almost never ends well for himself but it's definitely more exhilarating.
- Don't be fooled by his dark edgy aura, he's actually annoying. Like, while he is focused he is more silent than humanly possible, mortal and very VERY scary, but god forbid he opens his mouth because you're about to hear the most annoying person ever. And depending on what you are to him (either a target, something to play with or someone to annoy negatively) he will sound either crazy, full of rage or just plain weird and unnerving. It all depends on his intentions.
- Although he kept photos of his victims, he was always very careful back in the mortal realm, since leaving any clues even in his own house was an extreme danger. He did have certain info saved in folders and pics of his stalking sessions, but he was maniacally careful with it. Now, in the realm, he has total free range since there is no one to stop him. His own private room/realm is not only full of pictures on all of his walls, but he has shelves and shelves of folders with handwritten information on all survivors and killers alike. They may be a bit void of information in certain areas, but one could be surprised about how much you can learn looking at someone when they don't know you are there.
- He IS a fan of scary movies, and in fact his whole thing as the Ghostface is inspired by slasher movies. But it's not a "I saw this kind of films and wanted to kill people!!" But more of a "I was planning on doing this anyways and they gave me an idea of how to make it even better". I mean, what better way to make history than bringing a slasher to real life?
3° Within the fog:
- He doesn't have his own hunting grounds, but he does have his own space, same with any killer without a realm. And, as previously mentioned, he has it full of pictures and information of killers and survivors alike. This space looks like a one floor apartment, nothing out of the ordinary (if you were to take out all the pics). Two walls full of pictures, and two others with big shelves full of organised folders. He does not have a bed, but a sofa against one of the walls.
- With the years even he gets bored of the trials being the same, so he ends up being friendly with survivors sometimes. It's not a real friendship, and he's always a bit unnerving and annoying when it happens, buuut every now and then it's fun to just hang out with them, and it's a great way to learn more about them. (Also he doesn't care enough about them so he's not changing his ways in other trials, he's killing everyone the same).
Aaaand that's it I think! Everything I can remember off the top of my head, but if I remember any other headcanon I may edit this or make another post about it. As I said at the beginning, this is mostly stuff I try to think about when drawing or writing him (I am writing some fics with him but I'm slow lol) so here you have it!
