Blackout UI - Dark mode for The Sims 3

Okay, it's done. I finished it. :3

After 500 image and xml files manually hand-edited by me, pretty much everything is done! :3 Live Mode, CAS, Buy Mode, Build Mode, Create A Style. For anything I haven't finished, I'll update it later down the line.

There's some special extras in the download, such as a dynamic main menu that changes based on your computer's time of day (thanks Arro!) and a couple of loading screen variations.

NEW: PORTAL PAGE (BOUNDARY OUTPUT AS THRESHOLD)

SUBSTRATE now opens with a white-field boundary-output page — an instrument panel you pass through before the black UI resolves.

Not a splash screen. A threshold.

Why:

Boundary-output as boundary: the visitor has to cross a diagnostic surface before the system “lands.” Interface, not interior.

Polarity flip: white → black reads like a deliberate inversion (specimen sheet → containment system).

{ ENTER } / ∅: quiet procedural symbols — access implied, disclosure refused.

The HUD stays minimal: enough telemetry to suggest presence without turning it into a catalogue.

Revisit: from the homepage, press p to reopen the portal.

Umm, yeah.

So, I made a mod for The Sims 3 basing on a mod for The Sims 3. @justmiha97​ made clean UI looking loading screen mod and with his work I made... uh... the same thing... BUT! with dark background coming from Town Life Stuff. Doesn’t sound original, does it? 

...

Anyway, the dark version has changed plumbob when the logo appears (which Miha finds better than his work tho) and also polish subtitles! (most of them are new, some of them are just translated version of original loading screen mod so yea) Download it HERE! The link includes an original file too, but now it also has polish subtitles as my darker variant. I’m leaving a screenshot for you guys. Lemme know what u think, and have a nice play

This is an intermediate version design of the mobile app for anonymous chatting.

I want to go further with a dark mode of UI because It looks more entertaining. Combined with funny characters on avatars, it creates the right mood.
