It was pretty embarrassing to admit to anyone that you had no idea how to kiss, especially when there is no other way to admit to it apart from being blunt as fuck.
What was even more embarrassing was that you had no idea how to kiss and all the objects in your house hold had a thing for you, and you were dating the literal embodiment of your breaker box. What's even more embarrassing than that? Eddie and Volt had no idea of your little secret.
It seemed strange that they didn't know that you couldn't kiss, especially since the three of you were together. However, in your defence, your relationship was very new, and you had just about to weasel your way out of explaining that complicated mess to Volt when he first tried to kiss you, and that was only because you were honest about you and Eddie spent time together (which spiralled into its own situation in itself).
Maybe you shouldn’t have been able to weasel out of that situation, because now you were stuck with the inevitable, awkward conversation to have with them about it. You should have come out with the embarrassing truth long ago, get it out of the way because, now, it was getting harder to admit.
“Livewire?”
Volt’s voice caught you off guard and your eyes shot up to his. “Yes?”
“We did you go, hm?” He asked, a hand moving from your back to lightly grasp your chin with his index finger and thumb. “Could see you went elsewhere.”
Right. You were dancing with him. Though, now it was more like swaying.
“I didn’t go anywhere.” You said with a small laugh, looking up at him and mustering your best smile.
“Even I could tell your mind was wondering.” Eddie chimed in from a few feet away from you and Volt.
"You're all the way over at the bar, how can you tell?" You tutted, shaking your head, but Eddie only chuckled in response.
Volt tiled his head as he looked in your eyes. "What's going on, livewire? Talk to us."
"It's nothing." You said with a small shake of the head. "It's stupid."
"Which is it? Nothing, or stupid? It can't be both." Eddie called out from the bar, but when you looked over at his you could see him making his way over to the two of you.
You shrugged your shoulders lightly, letting out an indecisive sound that caused the two objects to glance at one another. "Stupid. It's- no, no... it's silly, embarassing. I don't wanna talk about it."
“Livewire…” Volt said slowly.
“Wait- volt, maybe let them pass on telling us this time.” Eddie said with a glance to Volt then to you. “Spark, you don’t have to talk about it. If you don’t want to, that is.”
You hummed faintly, but it grew louder and into a small whine as you hung your head low. "Wait- no, I should probably tell you."
With the heavy sigh that escaped your lips, the two men looked at each other in confusion.
"Spark?" Eddie called.
"Ah, nope. I'm working up the courage, and how I'm about to lose a lot of dignity here."
Volt's eyebrows narrowed. "Did you, perhaps, do something morally wrong, like take some kid's sweets?"
"That's the most morally wrong thing you can come up with?" Eddie questioned, looking over at Volt again. "Really?"
"Well, I don't know, Eddie." Volt exasperated, "It's Livewire, it could be anything."
"It's going to be something a lot different to stealing from some kid, Volt."
"You don't know that."
"What, and you do?"
"I haven't kissed anyone before!" You blurted out in the midst of their arguing.
There was a silence that fell between the three of you, and you were sure that Eddie and Volt would have been able to hear the pounding of your heartbeat. It was the quietest it had ever been in the Breaker Box.
"That's it?" Eddie questioned, his voice lacking the previous concern that it had held.
"Eddie!" Volt warned, tutting slowly before looking back down at you, cupping your face as his hand stroked your cheek. "Is that what you were so worried about telling us?"
"Well, yeah.." You muttered faintly. "Isn't that a big thing? Like.. it's a tie breaker?"
"Uh, no...?" Eddie said slowly, crossing his arms over his chest. "Who told you that?"
You hesitated for a moment. "Well, no one, really... I just kind of thought that..."
"Well, you thought wrong, Livewire." Volt chuckled faintly, but he wasn't laughing at you, at least you could tell that out of all things.
You exhaled slowly, then decided you needed to quickly move on. You gave a strange thumbs up and forced out a laugh. "Wow, great chat guys. So glad we had this time, great hang out, I'm gonna go to bed now."
As you turned to leave, Volt let out an 'ah-ah-ah' and pulled you back by the waist. "Did you really think that was all that was going to happen?"
"Well, a little bit?" You said slowly. "Oh, come on, I did my embarrassing confession time, can't we just leave it at that?"
"Oh, definitely not, Spark." Eddie said with a small shake of this head. "Is this why you've been dodging us every time one of us try and initiate anything?"
You stayed silent for a few seconds, eyeing Eddie. "...It was that obvious?"
"Yes." They both said at the same time.
You sighed and slumped where you stood, it only caused Volt to laugh as he moved his hands to your sides and tilted his head down to meet your eyes.
"It's not that bad, Livewire." He tried to reassure, a sweet smile on his face. "You could have just told us, there is a pretty fun solution to all of this, after all."
You felt your face redden and you quickly shook your head. “No, no, I’m not about to embarrass myself. I’m shit at this type of stuff.”
“Well, the only way to get better is to practice.” Volt mused, his hand moved to your cheek, his thumb rubbing lightly on your skin. “Isn’t that right, Eddie?”
Eddie sighed faintly, clearly not wanting to condone the persuasion coming from Volt’s mouth. “I think that’s up to our Livewire.”
When both pair of eyes fell back on you, you felt your heart skip a beat. Your hesitance and worries about making a fool of yourself were quickly forgotten with the fluttering in your stomach that came with the looks that Eddie and Volt would always give you.
“It’ll be bad.” You spluttered out, shaking your head quickly, waving your hands as you tried to save the two from your inexperience. “I can’t for the life of me.”
“Livewire,” Volt sighed, and this time he shook his head. His hand didn’t move away from your face, his head only tilted lightly to the side as his eyes bore into yours. “It’s you, I doubt it would be as bad as you’re making it to seem.”
"Volt..." You muttered, any explanation or reasoning you had dying on your tongue.
"Ah, ah," Volt said with a tut, he urged your chin upwards so you could actually look at him. "Livewire, do you trust us?"
"What?" You questioned with a faint scoff. "What, yeah... Yeah, of course I trust you two."
"Then, won't you let us help you with this little issue of yours?" He asked.
Your eyes lingered on Volt's for a seconds before they quickly darted to Eddie with an expression that could only be described as pleading, as if he held the answers for you, and he would be the tie-breaker.
"Don't look at me, Spark." He uttered with a shake of his head, his voice surprisingly soft. "This is up to you, I'm not telling you what you should do, and neither is Volt."
You hesitated.
You thought it out.
What was the harm?
"Okay..." You muttered.
"What an enthusiastic answer." Eddie rolled his eyes, but there was no malice in his tone.
Volt glanced over at his other half and shot him a glare, "Now, now, they're finding their voice. Give them a second, Eddie."
"Will... Will you help me...?" You muttered under your breath, looking away as you felt your face heat up with embarassment.
Volt's face lit up as he let out a 'ah' sound that was only full of joy. "Why, of course, my dear livewire."
You cleared your throat anxiously, but neither of the objects made a move. Instead, Volt's hand moved away from your chin and moved to your cheek, his gaze intense but loving. Your heart hammered in your chest at his look, convinced that he was going to lean in.
He didn't.
"Who do you want to kiss you first?" He asked so simply, as if he was asking you what you wanted to drink.
"Uh, huh... What- I don't-"
"I think you're better off giving Livewire their first kiss, Volt." Eddie chimed in, saving you from choosing between the two of them (an impossible choose you decided). "You're already close enough, anyway."
Volt hummed, as if he was considering it, but you and Eddie knew that there was no way in hell he was going to argue it. "I suppose so."
He looked at you for a few seconds, and you found yourself drowning in his gaze. Your nerves were getting the better of you, and you were two seconds away from backing out entirely.
"Relax." He whispered, brushing his nose against yours before pulling away just far enough so that you could look him in the eye. "Just follow my lead, hm? Part your lips a little... That's it.."
His nose nudged against yours again, a faint smile pulling on his lips as his eyes became half-lidded. You followed, closing your eyes as you leaned in the tiniest bit closer, feeling how yours and his breath were on each other's skin.
When his lips pressed against yours, he started off with a quick kiss, soft, easy. You half expected Volt to go in straight for something more passionate, it had seemed more his speed, but you were proven wrong. He pulled away for a second, and you had realised that he was just testing the waters, seeing how you would react to a kiss like that.
When he saw that you had no qualms with it, he leaned in once more. The second kiss lasted longer, much longer, but it did not waver in the gentleness of the previous one. Volt made sure to keep a pace that you could easily keep up with, and one that was your speed.
It was simple, but it was enough to make your head spin. Before you knew it, you were leaning in just as much as Volt was. You and he made no further movement to push the kiss into something more than it was. Your hands found his sides, finding themselves become more comfortable when he guided them to do so with his free hand, before his hands moved to cradle your face.
Eventually, about a eight or nine seconds, Volt had pulled away a second time. You fluttered your eyes open, speechless as you looked up at him. Though, he only had his signature smirk plastered on his face.
"How was that?" He asked in a hushed voice, one of his hands pushing the hair out of your face.
"Uh... good, yeah, good..." You muttered faintly.
Your faint words caused Volt to let out a chuckle, but his eyes fell to Eddie who was still beside the two of you. "Eddie, how would you feel letting our Liverwire have a go?"
Eddie didn't answer, he only looked over at you instead. "Livewire?"
"If you want to as well, Eddie." You said, trying to make your voice come out louder than it did before, but you still sounded as flustered and as nervous as you did before.
There was a slither of a smile on his face, sweetness underlining on his rather gruff exterior. He took a step closer, replacing Volt's spot. You could have sworn that he was as nervous as you, but was the type who didn't seem it just because of their usual appearance. You could see the blush on his face, though.
"I want to." He muttered, his hand moving up to caress your cheek.
His eyes lingered on yours for a few seconds too long, he, too, was building up the courage to kiss you. He inhaled slowly, exhaling as he leaned in. You found yourself leaning in too, learning form what Volt had done moments before.
You figured that Eddie was the lucky one, Volt got the prime nervous version of you, while Eddie got the version of you that was just starting to grasp what to do.
Eddie's kiss didn't last as long as Volt's did, he pulled away after about half the time of yours and Volt's kiss. However, he didn't move away too quickly.
His forehead rested against yours, hand still cupping your cheek as his other hand cradled the side of your neck. His breathing was slow, and he wasn't looking in your eyes, rather his gaze lingered on your lips.
"Seems Eddie, here, is more nervous than you." Volt teased, his hand snaking up to rest on Eddie's side.
That was when Eddie pulled away, but even that was reluctant. "I didn't want to rush it, it was the first time we kissed."
"Touché." Volt hummed, his attentional shifted onto you. "How was that, hm? Are you glad you told us now?"
You let out a breath of laughter, before nodding timidly. "Yeah. Yeah, I am."
"Well, isn't that good?" Volt said rhetorically, looking between you and Eddie before his eyes landed on yours again. "Because, now, we get to do this a lot more."
Really enjoy your writing, good male domtop perspectives are a rare treat. Any thoughts about how Cam would be with an injured partner? SFW, NSFW, anything that comes to mind.
Hi! I've done this ... very sweet, hope you enjoy.
Let me take care.
Cam x GN Reader
1480 words.
The Dateviators made your every day life, which was already busy on it's own (mostly dealing with your existencial dread, that now has humanoid shape in a twist of horrid events…) just downright unbearable.
With that much pressure, either be socializing or fixing up one of the many dateables issues or ever rising problems, you'd get sloppy any time soon.
This is that time.
Your head was on another problem you had to take care of as you were walking down the stairs.
What a mistake.
Your foot twists in an abnormal manner, and without a single hint of grace, you fall down, your body hitting the ground with a loud thud.
It hurts a lot. Very much so. You hope you didn't just break your foot considering the amount of paint you're in right now.
You don't really scream per say, but lots of unbecoming noices leave your mouth, you can feel the start of a couple of years prickling your eyes waiting to escape.
The dateviators have flung out of your eyes onto the steps of the front door. You crawl in the best way you're able to, wincing and stopping to complain and dry your tears as you grab the glasses and put them back on your face.
— Oh my god, are you okay?! — Skylar begins to panic, as the other dateables gather around you.
Farya is called immediately, while Dorian tries to take a look at how bad your injuries may be. Stella looks like a kicked puppy, worry clear in her eyes.
— Doesn't seem broken. — Dorian let's Farya pass through, as she examines your foot and the body area in which you landed.
Thankfully, nothing too horrible, but bad enough you'll probably have to not do as much housework compared to these weeks.
Which. Isn't favorable considering that most objects around find themselves in trouble in extremely simple ways.
Ugh. Oh well.
——————————————
Many of the dateables had wanted to help you out in your recovery, although you've been stubborn and denied help each time.
You've resorted to sleeping in the ground floor, not wanting to repeat the mistake of falling again and perhaps injuring yourself fully.
Cooking proves a bit difficult, considering the big hit to your chest inhibiting your ability to breathe.
— Hey bug, need some help?
Cam. He's a character to say the least.
You've had your rocky beginnings, but you've been dating for a while now, and it had been going smooth aside from some small needed conversations.
— Don't worry, I'm fine. — You're definitely not fine, which anyone with a functioning brain would realize by the way you have to stop after a bit to catch your breath.
— …What do you know about cooking anyways?
Cam touched his chest, as if offended.
— Wow, just because I'm a trashcan if means I only ever eat your trash? I thought we had left that line of thinking a long time ago, bug…
You roll your eyes, allowing the trashcan to stand besides you, shifting a bit. You wince, damned foot. He notices and grabs one of the chairs nearby and forces you to sit.
— H-hey, I'm cooking I didn't tell you to-!
He shushes you, grabbing the knife in your hand and positioning himself at the front of the cutting board.
— Nonono - shhhhhh….. I'll take care of it. So you can pout over there. Which I'll also take care of later.
Arms crossed, and effectively also pouting, you watch as Cam chops and slices the vegetables with ease. You had never seen him cooking, but maybe he had made use of your kitchen at night when you didn't know.
… Yes, you didn't know. He had seen you over the days struggling each time to gather your usual strength. Your hand had also been twisted, as you even when lading on your chest you tried to soften the fall. It was simply painful to do stuff, but you didn't wanna feel useless just laying around.
Therefore, every time you weren't using the dateviators, he practiced cooking simple dishes. Yes, in a way you were right, he never really cooked, he didn't have the need to. But he's a fast learner, and it didn't take him long to make stuff that could make most people impressed.
After finishing up the main task, boiling of the vegetables took place. You weren't sure what he was doing, although he seemed to have a clear idea.
— …Can I ask what I will be eating today or will you also tell me to be quiet?
— I do not punish curiosity… well at least most of the time anyway. But yes, I'll shush you, I know what you like to eat anyway, so you'll have to trust me.
You do trust him. So you remain quiet as he keeps on tinkering with the kitchen appliances and ingredients scattered around.
He made some potato noodles, with some spicy garlicky sauce. They look delicious.
— Wow. Look at you go Cam! You should open up a restaurant or something.
He smirks. — Nah, too much trouble. — As he places the plate on the table, you see a small blush creeping up his face and neck.
— And uh - I only want to cook for you anyways.
You can't help but to blush a bit too, shifting a bit in your seat. You try to hide the pained expression, when you put a bit of weight on one of your hands.
Cam notices, his face is painted with worry but the moment you look at him, he's changed that expression into his usual monotone one.
— Eat, or it's gonna get cold and then I'll have to eat it for you.
As you eat, you're flooded with a lot of emotions. Not only it's delicious, you try to think when it was the last time someone had ever done something like this for you. Sure, you've avoided being helped by the other datebles, but their help felt more like a chore on their part than actually wanting to waste time of their days on you.
— Damn - Shit are you okay?
You hadn't noticed, but tears were slowly falling out of your eyes, you quickly wipe them with your hand, which sends a wave of pain that makes you sob.
Cam is quickly by your side, grabbing the fork that was on your hand and placing it on the table without much thought. He rubs your back in soft motions, and even without looking at him you can imagine his worried filled pained expression.
You apologize through tears and sobs, you aren't sure why you're so upset. Maybe you're happy, that someone would ever do something as kind for you, but the feeling of being bothersome and undeserving is also strong within you.
His other hand wipes away a couple of droplets running down your cheeks, as he guides you to his arms.
You grab onto him, you're glad you've cleaned him the day before, but even then, you never cared too much about the trash he held onto. His hair smells like coffee grounds.
After a bit, you calm down. But now you feel incredibly embarrassed.
— I-I'm sorry about that. Didn't mean to-
— It's okay. — He doesn't give you the chance to to apologize further, standing up and beginning to clean up the utensils he used, letting you space to breathe and eat.
The moment seems forgotten. At least for now.
It's pretty late, and the dateviators will soon run out of charge.
— Hey. You're sleeping down here right? Isn't that bad for your back?
— Don't worry, Koa is very comfortable. It helps me prevent another accident now that I'm like this too.
Cam thinks to himself, he gently grabs you by the hand and then lays on the couch. He then signals for you to lay too.
You both fall into a sweet and gentle embrace. You can feel the calm beating of what would be his heart, and his warm hands envelop yours. It's nice. To be cared for, you think.
— … I don't want you to apologize to me.
Can pauses, his fingers play around with yours, twisting them and squishing them softly all around.
— I am a dumbass when it comes to stuff like this but, uh, yeah. Not good with words.
There's a small pause, in which he isn't sure if you're gonna insult him or just leave. But you don't. Instead you kiss his palm, and then curl up further into the man.
He grips onto you tighter, his warmth feels human in a strange way.
And way after the dateviators power off, and even when you're fast asleep, his warmth somehow still perseveres, as if he were holding you still.

Volt swishes around the water in the tub with just his hand, testing for the warm temperature. ‘Perfect’, he thinks to himself. He takes his hand out and flicks off the water, reaching for a bag filled with bath essentials. Skin sensitive soap, smooth body butter, skin sensitive lotion, and a black, white, and blue bath bomb. There were candles as well, but Volt had already set them up surrounding the edge of the tub. He unwraps all of the brand new bath essentials he specially picked out just for Eddie’s skin and body, and lined them up in the corner of the bath. The bath was ready for him and his lover to enjoy.
The aroma of the room is pleasant and soft. Notes of rich mahogany, black teakwood, and dark oak mix from the candle mix with the warm humidity coming from the bath, creating a satisfying aura. Dorian was the one who recommended the candle to Volt, and it was about time he used it. It was absolutely divine.
Volt dims the lights, then leaves the bathroom, taking the leftover bag of trash with him, and throws it out on his way to Eddie’s room. Soon, he reaches Eddie’s door. He knocks 3 times and calls out, “My boy, can I come in?”
He listens closely for Eddie’s late and strained approval.
Volt opens the door, walking in on Eddie trying to get up from his bed, but miserably failing to do so. He’s clearly in a lot of pain, holding onto the side table while trying to push himself up, his body trembling, and his face strained.
Volt rushes over immediately, gently holding onto Eddie’s sides and wrapping his arm around his shoulder. Eddie winces at the touch on his skin. Volt notices, and loosens up his already soft handle.
“Eddie, my boy… You need to be taking better care of yourself…”
Eddie sighs, “Volt, I’m fine. I just need to…”
Eddie tries to move once again, but his body freezes up in pain, and Volt has to quickly stabilize him.
“Be careful!” Volt panics. “Come, come with me Eddie… I can help you.”
Volt places a kiss on Eddie’s cheek, then slowly starts to guide Eddie out of the room. Eddie stabilizes himself, his arm wrapped around Volt's shoulder, and Volt holds onto Eddie’s waist with his free arm. Volt takes slow steps, and Eddie follows embarrassingly. He can’t believe he let it get to this. And Volt is disappointed in himself for not taking charge sooner. Volt wants Eddie to have his independence, but some times are worse than others, and Eddie doesn’t take proper care of himself and his body.
Volt and Eddie, slowly but surely, make it to the bathroom door. “What are we doing here?” Eddie asks, and Volt smiles, opening up the door. The scent of the candles slowly engulfed the boys, and the warm humidity building up in the bathroom combined with the scent that had time to spread, it started to calm Eddie down.
They walk into the bathroom, and Eddie scans the room. He notices the fancy toiletries lined in the corner of the tub. “What is all this? You did this?”
“I figured it’s about time you took a moment to relax… You’ve been working yourself so hard my boy, you can barely move.” Volt begins to massage his shoulders, tugging at his vest. “Might I help you with this?”
It takes a moment to answer, but Eddie shyly approves. Volt begins to gently strip Eddie of his clothes, taking off his vest and unbuttoning his shirt. He opens up his shirt and sees Eddie is double-binded, wearing both a tight chest binder and some poor quality trans tape at the same time.
“Eddie… Really? Both? How long has it been since you’ve taken this off?”
Eddie doesn’t respond. He just scoffs and looks away, keeping his eyes on the floor. Not because he’s upset with Volt, but he genuinely doesn’t have an answer. He has no clue as to how long he’s been wearing his bindings.
Volt doesn’t push further, not wanting to embarrass or shame Eddie anymore than he must already be feeling. “It’s okay, Eddie. I’ll take good care of you tonight. Arms up.”
Volt helps and guides Eddie’s hands up, his arms still trembling. Volt holds him steady as he slowly pulls the tight chest binder off of Eddie’s body. All that remains is the tape.
Volt carefully inspects. The tape is crumpled, struggling to stay stuck to Eddie’s skin. The skin around is red and irritated, and it looks like a bit of old dirty adhesive is stuck on his skin.
“Tsk tsk… This looks painful, my love…”
“Oh please. It’s nothing.. I’m sure I could’ve kept it on for another day or two…”
“My boy, that’s not good for you.. Your skin is struggling. This can’t be comfortable.”
Eddie doesn’t fight back. He admits to himself, yes, his skin is in pain. But usually, he pushes it down and fights back. Eddie can’t help but get caught up in his work, almost always ignoring his health. Volt asks a lot of Eddie when he asks him to take care of himself. It’s almost like he doesn’t want to. But, he does want this time with Volt.
Volt turns on the sink right by them, making the water run warm. Volt then grips onto the edge of the crumpled tape. “You ready?”
“Go slow, please…”
Eddie was dreading seeing his own chest, but he had all his trust in Volt. He knew he could be vulnerable like this around Volt, it was just difficult for him to feel good for himself.
Volt, as gently as he can, begins to slowly peel off the tape, massaging the skin as he goes and adding warm water to the edges to help make the peel as smooth as possible. It’s not difficult to peel off, as the tape was already struggling to stay onto Eddie’s skin, but Eddie still slightly winces in pain, his skin being tender and sensitive from wearing it for so long. Some parts of the tape were still stuck onto his skin pretty good, but the massaging and warm water helped the tape eventually peel off of Eddie’s skin. Volt’s beautiful hands can handle anything with elegance, and once Volt finishes peeling the last of the tape, he softly massages the area in which the tape was placed. Volt is great at massaging, and his soft hands bring a warm feeling to Eddie, as if he just wants to melt right into Volt’s arms right then and there, but that can wait until they get in the tub.
Volt turns off the sink, then turns to Eddie.
“Can I kiss you, my love?”
Eddie nods, and Volt leans into the sides of Eddie’s chest, placing soft, slow, and tender kisses along the irritated area. He holds onto Eddie’s waist lovingly, rubbing his thumbs on the area where his hands are placed. Eddie just holds his head, feeling his soft hair and basking in the combined scent of his cologne and the candle. The room is warm, and filled with so much love. The sight of Volt below him, kissing his most painful and insecure spots, makes Eddie blush. There’s still a bit of insecurity within him, but he truly just wants to savor his time with Volt, and not dwell on the negative. This is truly a special moment to the both of them.
Volt gets on one knee and slips his thumbs into Eddie’s waistband, grasping his pants and underpants at the same time. “Might I?” He asks, looking up at Eddie for approval.
The sight of Volt on his knees, looking up at him, waiting for the go ahead to completely strip him naked… It made his stomach fill with butterflies. It was a lot to take in.
Eddie clears his throat. “Uh.. Yeah. Sure. Please.” And he begins to blush again.
Seeing this, Volt chuckles, and he pulls the rest of Eddie’s clothes off of him. Eddie wants to look away, but he can’t help but enjoy the view below.
Eddie steps out of his pants and kicks them off to the side, now completely nude. Eddie is trying his best not to be insecure about it, but Volt’s words comfort him.
“You look electrifying, my boy. Absolutely tantalizing…” Volt stays on the ground, beginning to hold and kiss Eddie’s hips and thighs.
“Fuck… Cmon, Volt…” Eddie’s face is absolutely burning by now, but yet again, he’s entranced. He absolutely cannot look away from this moment. Volt keeps kissing, sneaking in a compliment every now and then. “You’re perfect, my boy.” “I could stay like this forever.” “I love every inch of you.”
Volt leaves one last kiss on Eddie’s thigh, taking his sweet time with this one. He pulls away, and stands up, and Eddie finds himself immediately missing all the attention he was receiving. Volt looks at Eddie, and Eddie immediately tries to look away, wanting to hide his very red face, but Volt holds his chin and directs his eyes to look into his. “Don’t worry, my boy, There’ll be more where that came from.” Eddie can’t help his smile, and Volt smiles back, kissing him softly on the lips. Eddie leans in, closing his eyes and enjoying the quick connection between the two. Eddie just keeps on finding himself wanting more and more of Volt.
“How about I join you? Don’t want the tub to cool down too much…”
Volt tries to undress himself, slipping off a bit of his vest, but Eddie stops him.
“You think… I could return the favor? I’ll be quick, I promise.”
Volts eyebrows raise in surprise for a moment, but he instantly begins to beam. His smile, wider than it’s been so far.
“Well, of course you can, my boy!” Volt re-adjusts his clothes and puts back on what he already slightly removed, giving Eddie the go ahead to undress him.
Eddie hesitates for a moment. He’s never done anything like this before. Should he go fast? Slow? What does he take off first? Should he kiss him after, like he did to him?
He decides to just go for it, swiftly removing his top vest first. Then, with shaken hands, he begins to unbutton Volt’s top, revealing Volt’s perfectly sculpted chest and body. Volt puffs out his chest, letting his shirt fall and hang off of his arms. “You like what you see, my boy?”
Eddie reaches out both hands to touch either side of Volt’s chest, savoring his lover's perfect body. He traces his fingers across his surgery scars. There’s almost a bit of jealousy in his touch, he wishes he had a chest like Volt’s.
“Your body is perfect, Volt…”
It’s like Volt can read Eddie’s mind. He brings a hand up to Eddie’s face. “Don’t worry, my love. You’re so close to getting what you want.. And you’re going to look amazing.”
“You really think so man? I’m nervous.”
“I’m sure of it, my love. But that’s not to say, you already look delightful…” Volt looks Eddie up and down again, practically eating him up with just his eyes.
“Cut it out, Volt…” He reddens in the face.
Volt laughs, then extends his arms down to let the rest of his shirt fall off, fully exposing the top half of his body. “You gonna continue, my boy?”
“Yeah man.”
Eddie walks closer to Volt, beginning to fumble with his belt buckle until it unclamps. He pulls out the belt from Volt’s pants, and tosses it on the floor, the metal hitting the tiles with a loud clunk. Volt’s pants loosen a little, but they don’t fall just yet. Eddie unzips Volt’s fly and tugs on his pants and underpants, swiftly taking off Volt’s pants just like that. Volt kicks his pants off to the side where Eddie’s clothes are. They’re now both officially nude together.
“Thank you… For letting me do that. You uh, you look great…”
“You’re free to explore more if you’d like, my boy.”
“Can I just kiss you instead?”
“Of course you can.”
Eddie takes the lead with this one, placing his hands on Volt’s shoulders and leaning in for a deep, passionate kiss. Volt moans in his mouth. He absolutely loves it when Eddie takes charge. He places his hands on Eddie’s waist, rubbing up and down his sides, careful to avoid his still irritated skin. Volt just wants to eat Eddie up, and his kisses show that, his hunger growing more and more intense the longer they stay locked together.
Eddie notices Volt’s intensity raising. “Volt…”
“You drive me crazy, Eddie…”
Volt bites the bottom of Eddie’s lip, and Eddie grunts in response as Volt switches to Eddie’s neck, nipping and sucking at his skin. Eddie continues to hold Volt’s shoulders, watching and feeling everything Volt is doing to him.
“Jeez man, where did this come from?” Eddie smiles, “The bath is gonna get cold…”
Volt quickly pulls away. “You’re absolutely right my love… Let’s continue, shall we?”
Volt holds out his hand for Eddie, and Eddie takes it, being guided to the bath Volt spent a good amount of time preparing just for Eddie. Although, the tension hasn’t left the air. They’re both silently craving each other’s touch.
In just seconds, they reach the tub. “After you, my love.”
Eddie carefully steps in, Volt holding onto Eddie and stabilizing him. Eddie’s entire leg dips into the water, and a warm feeling rushes all over his body. The water is nice and hot, and he can’t wait to dip the rest of his body inside.
Eddie leans all of his body weight onto Volt for a moment as his other leg enters the bathtub, then he slowly sits down, allowing the hot water to fully engulf him.
“Fuck…” Eddie groans as the hot water hits his sides, his skin still red and irritated from the tape. His skin hasn’t touched air or water for way too long, and this was a nice refreshing change that stung, but in a good way.
“Make some room for me, my boy.” Eddie shifts his body forward, and Volt steps in behind him, sitting down in the water and letting his legs surround Eddie so Eddie’s back is to Volt’s chest.
“Cmon. Lay down.”
Volt puts a hand on Eddie’s shoulder, implying for Eddie to lean back onto Volt, and Eddie does just so.
“Watch this.”
Volt picks up the bath bomb that’s sitting just right next to him in the corner. He holds it in front of Eddie, then lowers it into the water. The bath bomb starts to fizz up, and bunches of blue, black, and white quickly spread across the water, dying it a deep blue.
“Woah.” Is all that Eddie says, appreciating the soft foam that builds up on his arms.
Volt takes some of that foam and lightly massages it into Eddie’s arms, making his skin incredibly soft and smooth.
Eddie decides to feel for himself, touching his own soft skin and spreading the foam across his arms.
Volt smiles at just how adorable Eddie is being right now. While Eddie is doing this, Volt picks up the skin sensitive soap he bought specially just for Eddie’s skin.
“Let’s get you cleaned now, hmm?”
“You’re gonna wash me?”
“Just your sides, my love. If that’s alright with you?”
“…Yeah. That’s fine.”
“I’ll be gentle. I promise.”
Volt dips the bar of soap into the water, then begins to vigorously lather it up, creating a good amount of suds to use to clean off the tape residue on Eddie’s skin.
He scoops up a portion of the soap in his hands and begins to carefully rub it into his skin, clearing the area of the dirty residue. Eddie tenses up, almost flinching at Volt’s touch. It hurts, but Volt’s soft touch is reassuring, and it makes Eddie want to be more vulnerable with him.
Eddie allows Volt to continue, despite the pain he’s in. Volt knows what he’s doing, and is incredibly gentle, but unfortunately there’s no way to completely avoid the sting.
Volt’s touch is full of love as he rubs the soap on each side of Eddie, even leaning into Eddie’s neck to place soft kisses on his skin.
Volt feels Eddie’s tense shoulders slightly trembling. “Relax, my love.” Volt says between kisses. “It’ll feel better soon.”
This prompts Eddie to try and relax his shoulders. He focuses on the warmth of the water, the scent of the candle and Volt’s presence and touch, and keeps his eyes locked in on the dancing flame of the candles around the tub. It helps Eddie to relax knowing he’s in trusting hands, and despite the pain, he’s glad he doesn’t have to do this himself.
Volt scrubs Eddie’s sides, but when it comes time to clean Eddie’s chest directly, he hesitates. He hovers over his chest with his hands. “Are you okay with this?”
Eddie looks away from the candle to see Volt’s hands floating over his chest, waiting for his go ahead. He knows Volt won’t do it if he says no, but his skin is sticky and it’ll need to be washed eventually. He might as well let Volt do it. It’s not like Volt has never touched him like this before, either.
“Yeah. You can.”
Eddie moves his shoulders back, making more room for Volt’s hands. Volt smiles, beginning to kiss Eddie’s neck and shoulders again, as he begins to, as respectfully as he can, wash Eddie’s chest.
Eddie thought he’d feel uncomfortable, but Volt’s touch admittedly feels… amazing. He can’t look away from Volt’s beautiful hands as they scrub and clean his skin, making him look brand new and shiny.
Volt successfully finishes cleaning Eddie’s skin. The dirt and sticky residue is gone. Volt splashes water on Eddie’s sides and front, letting the soap wash off and reveals his clean skin. His skin looks much better, and Volt is proud of its work. Although, it’s not finished yet.
“Thank you, Volt…” Eddie sighs, already missing Volt’s tender touch. He leans back, relaxing into Volt’s body, turning his head to the side to look back up at Volt.
“You’re just so fucking cute, Eddie..”
Volt takes Eddie’s chin in his fingers, turning his head closer to his face, closing his eyes as he leans in for a kiss. All the tension from their last kiss came rushing back, and their kiss grew deeper and stronger.
They both were breathing heavily, Volt again biting at Eddie’s lips the same as he did before.
They stay locked together for a while, before Volt tries to pull away, but Eddie protests.
“Wait, no…”
Eddie turns his body so he’s completely facing Volt, the water swishing and splashing around them. He grabs Volt’s head and pulls himself in for another kiss, this time filled with an intense energy and desperation from Eddie.
“What’s this now?” Volt chuckles, returning the same energy and kissing Eddie back, holding onto his waist. Volt rubs up and down Eddie’s back, as Eddie lays down on Volt, not breaking their passionate kiss. Eddie stretches his arms past Volt’s shoulders, holding onto him as he kisses him deeper.
“Looks like you’re already starting to feel better.” Volt teases.
“Shut the fuck up and kiss me.”
“Ohhh… Sir yes sir.”
Volt closes his eyes again and pulls Eddie up to him, locking lips with Eddie in an intense kiss. Their tongues fight and tangle together, Volt’s grip on Eddie becoming stronger. Eddie will accept any touch from Volt at this point. Eddie’s completely forgotten about any dysphoria he felt before, and he’s just completely lost in this moment with Volt.
Eddie pulls away and stuffs his face into the crook of Volt’s neck, completely resting his body weight onto Volt, and Volt just holds him, rubbing up and down his back as Eddie closes his eyes and completely relaxes in Volt’s arms. Volt watches as Eddie’s breath settles, and their breathing syncs up.
“Would you like a massage, my boy?”
Volt reaches for the bottle of lotion and tries to show it to Eddie, but Eddie doesn’t move his head or open his eyes. Just a muffled “Mhm..” hums from his throat as he nods his head, keeping his face stuffed in Volt’s neck. Eddie is completely relaxed right now.
Volt thinks to himself about how cute Eddie is, but doesn’t let himself get distracted. He opens the bottle and pours some of the lotion onto his hands, and he begins to massage it into Eddie’s back, applying just enough pressure to work out the knots in Eddie’s sore muscles.
The deep pressure makes Eddie grunt. “Fuck… When did you get so good at this?”
“I’m good at a lot of things, my boy.”
“I wish you’d touch me more..”
“Be careful, Eddie. I just might never let you go.”
“I wouldn’t mind that…”
Volt and Eddie share a laugh, as Volt continues to rub his back and massage his shoulders. Eddie’s skin is soft and supple, but Volt could feel just how overdue he was for a massage. His shoulders were relaxed, not tense like before, and Eddie’s muscles slowly soften as Volt eases through the knots.
“You like that, my boy?”
In a soft, low tone, Eddie sighs. “I love it.”
“Can I massage your sides?”
Eddie nods, still as relaxed as ever.
Volt moves his hands down to Eddie’s sides and begins to work his magic. This time, Eddie doesn’t flinch or tense up. He stays calm, his eyes closed and still nuzzled in Volt’s neck. It’s clear that Eddie absolutely does not want to move from his very comfortable spot.
Volt continues to massage Eddie’s sides, back, and shoulders until his skin absorbs all the lotion, and Eddie’s skin is left feeling exceptionally soft. Volt doesn’t stop massaging Eddie, he’s almost obsessed with the soft breathing against his neck. He, too, doesn’t want to move.
“Your skin looks much better. How do you feel?”
Eddie begins to kiss Volt’s neck and shoulders, giving Volt his answer.
“Keep going…” Eddie’s voice rumbles, practically at a whisper.
“You got it my boy.”
Volt spends his time carefully rubbing all around Eddie’s top half. Although Eddie’s irritation has gone down, Volt is still making sure he’s careful over those tender areas of the skin. But to the touch, his skin feels a lot better than when they began. It was looking clean and way less red. Volt was happy Eddie let him do this. He was worried about Eddie for days, clearly this was something Eddie needed. He had the feeling that more days like this were to come, and Volt’s heart filled with love as he imagined all the sensitivity and vulnerability Eddie showed him today, and what he will show in the future. Volt truly loved him.
Volt takes a look at Eddie. He looks so peaceful. His eyes are closed, and he’s breathing softly. He might as well be asleep.
“You still up?”
Eddie just nods, obviously tired.
“Cmon, let’s get you to bed.”
“No.. I want to stay with you…” Eddie protests.
“Don’t worry, my love. I’ll come with you.”
“…Fine.”
Eddie pushes himself up and off of Volt’s body. The air around them hits their skin as they disconnect, and they both shudder, instantly missing the body heat and warmth that was previously trapped between them.
Eddie steps out of the bath, water trickling down his skin. Volt follows Eddie out of the tub, and immediately grabs some towels for the both of them. He wraps Eddie up first, not wanting for Eddie to get too cold.
“Thank you.”
“Of course, my love.”
Volt and Eddie share a kiss as Volt wraps his bottom half with a towel, tying it and letting the towel rest on his hips.
“Come here, my boy.”
Volt walks closer to Eddie, wrapping his arms around his waist and pulling Eddie in for another kiss. Eddie places his hands on Volt’s shoulders, their kiss being soft and not as intense as the previous ones.
They kiss for a bit, then Volt quickly slides his hands down behind his thighs, and with his strength, he picks Eddie up, Eddie’s legs on either side of Volt’s torso.
“The fuck are you doing?” Eddie’s grip on Volt’s shoulder tightens as he stabilizes himself.
“Let’s get you to bed.” Volt smiles at Eddie.
Eddie blushes, looking away from Volt.
“Don’t scare me like that…”
On their way out of the bathroom, Volt slips the container of body butter into his hand, then walks out the door with Eddie in his arms. Volt doesn’t take his eyes off of Eddie, his embarrassed red face was so endearing, but he wishes he’d look at him and give him a kiss right now.
Volt and Eddie reach the bedroom. Volt pushes the already slightly open door with his foot, walking up to the bed and laying Eddie down. Volt climbs on top of Eddie, his hair hanging down and tickling Eddie’s face
“I’m sorry, my love. Did I make you uncomfortable picking you up?” Volt tries to be smooth about it, but he can’t help feeling a little bit anxious.
“No…” Eddie pauses to tuck some of Volt’s hair behind his ear. “Just caught me off guard..”
Volt grins, his worries being washed away. Eddie leans in to give Volt a kiss on the cheek.
“You’re… actually quite strong. I didn’t know you could do that.”
Eddie feels up Volt’s arms, really feeling and taking in the chiseled, perfect muscles and soft skin.
“I told you baby, I’m good at a lot of things.”
“Is there anything you can’t do, Volt?”
“Leave you alone, apparently.”
Eddie smiles and turns his head away,
“Well. Maybe I don’t want you to…”
Eddie picks up the body butter that Volt brought with him, which was lying next to them on the bed. He hands it to Volt.
“You got one more massage in you tonight?” Eddie asks, with a tired voice.
Volt’s eyes widen as he blushes, taking the bottle from Eddie’s hands.
“You good?” Eddie asks,
“I’m great…” Volt relaxes and he smiles. “You must have no idea how hot you looked just now.”
Eddie scoffs and looks away again, trying to hide his smile and his face reddening up.
Volt tucks three fingers into the towel that Eddie is wearing around his waist. “May I?”
Eddie just nods, watching as Volt pulls the towel off of his waist, leaving him exposed once again. Eddie doesn’t think twice about it, he just watches as Volt sits on his knees and grabs Eddie’s legs, pulling him closer, with Volt in between Eddie’s legs.
Volt squeezes some of the body butter into his hands. Only a little bit.
He starts with Eddie’s legs, spreading the body butter up and down from his thigh to his ankle. He goes in circles, making sure to spread it across his skin evenly. Same as before, he applies pressure to Eddie’s muscles, which feels absolutely amazing to Eddie.
Eddie savors Volt with his eyes, watching every one of Volt’s movements. His muscles flexing as he massages him, his slender hands moving over his skin with grace, the absolute attention to detail as Volt begins to massage the inside of his thigh with one hand while holding onto the outside of his thigh with his other hand. Fuck, he could say like this forever.
Eddie lifts up his leg just a little bit, and Volt takes that as a sign to work on the backside of his thigh. Volt pushes between the inside and the back of Eddie’s thigh, and it’s done with absolute perfection. It’s almost as if he’s a professional…
Volt picks up Eddie’s leg and rests it on his shoulder, smirking as he watches Eddie’s face flush with red and surprise. Volt laughs, and begins to kiss the inside of Eddie’s thigh, hoping to make him blush even more.
Eddie covers his face, but peeks at Volt through his fingers. He continues to watch Volt kiss and massage his other thigh. The more he watches, the more his cheeks burn.
“You like that my boy?” Volt chuckles again, rubbing the inside of his thigh intimately, not stopping his kisses and bites.
“…Yes.” Eddie’s voice is muffled through his hands, but he doesn’t want Volt to stop.
With care, Volt finishes up massaging the body butter into both of Eddie’s legs and thighs, using the leftover softness to rub up and down Eddie’s hips and waist.
“How you feeling, Eddie? Feeling better than before, my love?”
Eddie moves his hands off of his face, taking Volt’s hands into his.
“I feel great.. If I knew you could do this, we would’ve done this a lot sooner..”
“Don’t worry, my boy. I’ll give you more of this everyday. But, promise me you’ll start taking care of yourself again.”
“As long as you continue to treat me like this, I promise I will.”
Eddie smiles at Volt, and Volt smiles back, putting Eddie’s leg down from his shoulder.
“Can I kiss you again?”
“You know you don’t have to ask, right?”
“I know. I just want to hear you say yes.”
They both laugh, but it muffles once their lips lock together. This time, the kiss was loud, and they started to practically eat each other. The sound of muffled moans and wet kissing filled the room, only making one another hungrier for each other.
Eddie strokes Volt’s arms, moving his hands up and down from his shoulders to his forearms. The bath made his skin really soft, and he couldn’t get enough of that perfect body. Volt felt the same as he held onto Eddie’s waist, his smooth skin tempting Volt to do more to Eddie.
Without breaking their kiss, Volt slips his towel off of his waist, leaving him completely exposed. Eddie doesn't say anything, instead they continue to make out passionately with Volt on top of him.
“Volt.. I want you to hold me.”
Without a second thought, and without breaking their kiss, Volt scoops Eddie up from his back, lifting him up and turning him over along with him so that Eddie is now on top of Volt, and Volt is laying down, propped up on some pillows.
Volt’s hands travel from his waist up his back, grasping Eddie’s shoulders and pulling him in closer so they’re chest to chest. Eddie doesn’t question it, he just happily complies and lays on Volt, holding his head as he just absolutely eats him up.
They continue to make out, Volt rubs his hands over Eddie’s entire soft body. He squeezes his thighs and rubs up and down his back, and Eddie moves one hand to Volt’s shoulder, and another cups Volt’s cheek.
Eddie pulls away and just stares at Volt for a moment. It looks like he has something he wants to say, so Volt waits with a gentle expression on his face.
“Volt… I love you.”
Volt absolutely beams with pride and love, and grabs Eddie’s face, pulling him for a singular, long, and strong kiss.
“I love you too, Eddie. I love you so much.”
With a smile, Eddie lays his head on Volt’s chest, resting his leg on top of Volt’s legs and wrapping an arm around Volt’s body. Eddie pulls himself in close, wanting to feel Volt’s warmth and touch.
Volt pulls a blanket around the both of them, settling in with Eddie. “Go to sleep, my boy.”
Eddie closes his eyes and relaxes, focusing on Volt’s heart beat as he’s given head kisses and back rubs.
Soon, Eddie dozes off, and once Volt can confirm he’s asleep, Volt closes his eyes as well. He relaxes himself as he re-plays today’s events in his head, and imagines all the love the future holds for them. Volt is content, and alongside Eddie, he falls asleep, putting an end to their perfect night in each other’s arms.

have a good day!
The little issues that you had with your family was nothing new, and you had grown used to the odd comments long ago. You were hoping, however, that being away from your family would prevent the amount of times you had to endure those comments you had faced all throughout your childhood. Naturally, you were wrong.
Maybe you shouldn't have said what you said, or maybe you shouldn't have picked up the phone at all. Like you said, though, you thought that being away from your family was prevent all those times you got those awful comments.
Your mistake was putting the phone on speaker, especially now that you were aware all the objects in your house had a consciousness. In your defence, though, your hands were full and you weren’t about to have another comment about how you ‘could never answer the phone even though you were always on it’ or ‘you have all the time in the world now since being fired, but you still find yourself too busy to answer the phone’.
It was such a silly little thing, too. Sometimes you make it hard to like you. You shouldn’t have cared as much about it as you did, but you supposed it was the idea that even your own family didn’t even like you at times stuck.
And, of course, with most of the objects in your house being able to spread gossip like wildfire, it wasn't long before almost every single object in your home had heard about what was said, and decided to make it their, momentarily, goal in life to bring it up when talking to you.
So, naturally, you decided to head to your breaker box to find Eddie and Volt and to find some sort of comfort in the ambience of the Breaker Box. The ability to just be able to slip off onto your own table, away from everyone else, was something you needed and it was something Eddie and Volt could provide.
"Live Wire!" You were greeted by Volt, his usual grin plastered on his face, as soon as you made it through the doors. "You look as electrifying as usual. Will you be staying for a show?”
You couldn’t help but give the embodiment of your electricity a smile as he spoke. “Of course I will be.”
If Volt knew what was said to you earlier that day, he made no mention of it and no indication that he did. He simply took you to your typical V.I.P table and promised to see you after the show like he always did. You didn't doubt that he wouldn't, you usually found yourself staying after hours with Eddie and Volt.
You couldn't even pay attention to Johnny's act, your mind was so distracted. You couldn't help as your eyes glanced over the objects at The Breaker Box that night, wondering if any of them found it difficult to like you at times just as your family found it. You wondered if they were putting up a front, acting as if you were the most interesting thing in the world when you spoke to them.
Maybe they were putting up a front, you had done so much for the objects in your home, fixing issues between them, helping them come to realisations on their own relationships, helping them learn to love themselves, and on and on and on. Maybe they were just pretending to like you because you were doing so much for them, maybe they just wanted you to keep coming back because you were so willing to lend a helping hand.
You sighed faintly, putting your head in your hands before rubbing your face a little too harshly. You were going to stay like that for a little while longer, but your attention shifted when you heard a glass be placed in front of you.
You looked up and saw none other than Eddie.
"You looked like you needed a drink." He said with a simple shrug of the shoulders, but the look in his eyes told you that he was holding some concern for you.
You huffed out a little, amused sound, taking the drink in your hand and pulled it closer to you. You didn't take a sip from it straight away, instead just looking down at it. "Thanks, Eddie."
"You alright, Live Wire?" He asked, his hand remaining on the table, eyes glued onto you with a furrowed expression.
You waved a dismissive hand, mustering up your most convincing smile for him. "Yeah, all good here."
Eddie didn't press harder, he never did, he knew you well enough to figure when you did or did not need to be pushed. Now was one of those moments where you just needed to be left alone for now.
His hand brushed against yours before he walked back off behind the bar, a little action to tell you that he was there for you without making a big display like Volt would, and without going on a full speech about it. Just a simple brush against your hand, nothing more.
Then, it was just you. You didn't mind it all that much, ever since you got the glasses there wasn't a lot of time where you felt like you were alone and, therefore, couldn't cherish the alone time you had like you would before getting the dateviators. You were spending a lot of your time, recently, running around the house helping the other objects in the house and didn't find yourself on your lonesome.
The Breaker Box gave you that, occassionally.
So, while Eddie and Volt were busy dealing with the patrons, you were tucked safely away in the corner, nursing a drink that had miraculously lasted you the whole time you were waiting for their club to close up.
You wondered if you looked as miserable as you felt, hand propping up your chin with your elbow resting on the table you other hand lazily running your fingers around the rim of the glass of your drink. No one really took notice, you supposed, because no one bothered you, no one even spared you a glance.
You were partly grateful, you didn't think you had enough energy or social battery left to interact with anyone else, bar Eddie and Volt of course.
"Alright, Live Wire, your pity party is over." You were snapped out of your thoughts and turned to the voice. Eddie. "What's got you looking all miserable?"
You shook your head slowly, waving a dismissive hand. "It's nothing. Don't worry, you should get back to serving the patrons."
"We're closing, Live Wire." Volt said, coming up from behind Eddie, his face more telling that he was concerned. "Have been for a while now."
You paused, eyes narrowing before you looked around you. Yeah, all the other objects were gone. "Oh."
"Yeah, 'oh'." Eddie said faintly, sliding into the booth and next to you. "Talk to us?"
Volt copied Eddie's movement, but came up on the other side of you, neither of them touched you, bot yet anyway, giving you literal space to speak out what you were feeling.
You shook your shoulders lightly. "I dunno, just..."
You sighed, shaking your head.
Eddie and Volt spared a glance, silently communicating with one another, before Volt spoke up. "Is this about that phone call you ha-"
"Volt!" Eddie warned, staring daggers at the embodiment of electricity.
He tutted quietly. "Oh, come now, Eddie, were we really going to beat around the bush?"
"The plan was to get them to talk about it on their own accord, unlike what the others have been doing." Eddie muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose before he turned back to you. "Live Wire, you don't have to talk about it right now."
You shook your head. "It's fine. Everyone knows... uh,, what... what do you two know about it?"
"Not much." Volt admitted, and Eddie continued out. "The others' stories are kind of muddled up. We know you had a call and something was said, that's all."
You nodded slowly, sighing as you stared at your barely touched drink. "Yeah. I was... on a call with one of my family members and —it's stupid— something was said, is all."
"What was said, if we can ask?" Volt asked softly.
"Sometimes you make it hard to like you." You said quietly, hands in your lap.
"Well, that's stupid." Eddie said suddenly.
You recoiled into yourself. "I know, I know- I don't know why I'm so upset about it."
"No, not that." Eddie sighed, shaking his head. "What was said, who the hell would think that?"
"My family apparently?" You said with a little shrug. "It just got me thinking is all. I think... I think all the objects in the house are pretending to like me, I think they all secretly hate me because of the way I act because... I mean, if my own family struggle to like me, everyone else must struggle too."
"Live Wire," Volt started, catching your attention by taking your chin and turning your head so that you were looking at him. "I can assure you that every object here are not faking their interest in you, not one bit, we al have only good things to say about you."
"But, my family—"
Eddie cut you off this time, his hand resting on your shoulder. "Who cares about what your family thinks, we're telling you now that they're wrong because I can't think of a single reason anyone would hate you."
"Who could ever hate you?" Volt asked rhetorically, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. "You are flawless, Live Wire, anyone would be a fool to not like you."
You let out a faint laugh, shaking your head. "I think you're overselling it, now."
"Absolutely not." Volt said with a shake of his head. "I would never."
Eddie chuckled to the side of you, his thumb rubbing careful circles into your shoulder. "I have to agree with him, Live Wire."
You rolled your eyes at them, feeling your eyes water at their words. You leaned your head on Eddie's shoulder, feeling Volt's arm wrap around you. You didn't need anymore of their words, just their touch.
You should have known when a headache was coming on with the amount of times it decided to accompany you throughout the day, becoming the unwanted friend that you hand running along at your heels.
You would sigh when you got a chance to yourself, rubbing at your temples and you closed your eyes because the Ibuprofen you had taken wasn't working when your headache was borderline a migraine. Yet, you still pushed through the day. You felt as if you had a hundred things to do because, well in theory, you did.
Having around a hundred objects in your house that you could interact with was interesting and fun, to say the least, but that was ignoring the fact that they were just as draining as real people. Each of them had their own problems, and often unloaded them onto you for you to fix. You were far from a fixer-upper, as much as they seemed to like to think that you were.
And you still had to go find Eddie and Volt at the end of the day.
You were sure that they would be perfectly fine if you explained what was going on and that you really just needed an early night to sort out the agonising feeling your head, but you just felt bad in doing so. So, you went despite the fact your brain wanted to explode every time you moved an inch; because why wouldn't you?
Eddie caught on first, unsurprising because he used to always hide his own pain from yourself and from Volt.
"Hey, Eddie." You greeted with a small wave when you came into breaker box that night.
"Spark." He greeted, suspicious while you walked over to the bar. "You alright?"
"Yeah, I'm good." You said with a nod, sitting opposite where he was standing on the other side. "Are you?"
"I'm fine." He said, narrowing his eyes at you. "Are you?"
"You've already asked me that." You said with a small laugh, but swiftly regretted it.
"I know." He responded plainly, grey eyes boring into yours.
You were about to question if he was really okay with the way he was staring at you, but Volt made an entrance before you could.
"Livewire!" You grimaced at his voice, trying to subtly rub the side of your head while you disguised it as resting your head on your palm. "You made it."
"I did." You said with a grin, watching as Volt made his way to where you and Eddie were.
Volt pulled you up from where you were sat, and you were sure that your vision swam at the sudden movement. You exhaled sharply, closing your eyes before the room spun anymore than it had been.
"Livewire?" Volt questioned, pausing his movements to lean in and give you a kiss. His hands moved to your shoulders as some sort of anchor as he stared you down. "Are you okay?"
"Mhm. Yeah." You forced yourself to say, rubbing your face for the thousandth time that day.
"Spark." Eddie said with a warning tone.
"I'm fine." You tried to say, but Volt was easing you back down onto the stool. "Really, guys. I'm fine."
"Someone who is fine doesn't look like that." Volt hummed softly, thumb wiping across your cheek gently.
You gave him a pointed look. "Oi."
"I mean," Volt said with a small laugh. "That you are deathly pale, livewire."
"I'm not that bad." You muttered quietly, moving so that you were facing the bar, then realised how cool the counter was when your hands rested on it. "Like, at all. 'm just gonna rest my head on the very cool surface for no reason at all."
You couldn't see the glance that Eddie and Volt shared, but you could feel their eyes linger back on you.
"Headache?" Eddie questioned, as you heard him shift to a position that you could only assumed matched yours.
"Yeah." You sighed in defeat.
"Migraine?" Eddie questioned again.
"Yes..."
Eddie sighed, and you felt the way his elbow brushed against yours when he moved back up straight.
"Livewire." That time, Volt spoke up. "Why didn't you say anything?"
"I just did." You grumbled.
"He meant earlier." Eddie chimed in.
"No? Really?" You gasped quietly, shaking your head where it was planted on the counter. "I just thought it would go away. I took some tablets."
"A lotta work that did." Eddie grumbled under his breath.
"Oi, no." You said, pointing a finger towards where you assumed he was. "I'm the one suffering right now, I'm allowed to be snarky, what's your reason?"
"You're not even pointing at me." Eddie said, moving your hand towards where he was.
You tutted quietly, letting your hand fall back down to the counter with a 'thud'.
"What's got your head hurting?" Volt asked, his hand resting on your lower back, thumb starting to rub it lightly.
"Stress. Probably. It's usually stress." You answered with an almost silent voice.
"What's got you this stressed?" Eddie asked then.
"Everyone in this house." You groaned, but paused for a few seconds. "Present company excluded."
Eddie huffed out an amused sound. "That's not surprising, every object here as something going on with them."
"I would have loved to of known that before I started to agree to helping them all."
Volt cooed softly, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head, "Oh, our poor, selfless Livewire. C'mon, let's get you back to your room, I'm sure Betty will help you out and get you all comfortable."
"Can't I just stay here?" You asked meekly. "I think if I move anymore, I might be sick."
It wouldn't have been the first time you actively threw up because of a migraine. It never happened often, and you could count on one time the amount of times it did happen. Though, you ended up getting nauseous more than anything; that would be your typical sign to put the day away and head to bed then, but you just ignored it this time.
"Spark, it's not exactly comfortable here." Eddie sighed faintly, resting his chin on his palm as he placed his elbow against the counter.
You tried to lift your head, vision blurring as you got a very strange looking Eddie in your eyeline. You groaned quietly, falling silent quickly after you hid your head in your arms.
Yeah. You were done for now. You had acknowledge the migraine, and now it had won.
"No... s'fine. I could sleep here. It would be great." You muttered.
"No- Live..Livewire." Volt chuckled out softly, urging you upwards. "Come now, we'll get you back to your room, and you can rest up. Okay?"
You grumbled in response, rubbing your face as the two of them personally escorted you back to your bedroom.
