This past weekend, my cousins and I gathered for an unforgettable brunch at Salazar, a vibrant spot located in Washington, D.C.‘s bustling 14th Street corridor. The atmosphere was electric, with a lively crowd and upbeat music setting the perfect backdrop for our family reunion. Salazar’s modern decor and spacious rooftop added to the festive vibes, making it an ideal venue for both dining and dancing.

We opted for their weekend bottomless brunch, which offers unlimited mimosas and a variety of Tex-Mex inspired dishes. The menu featured flavorful options like chorizo breakfast tacos, huevos rancheros, and indulgent churro waffles. The bottomless brunch is priced at $27 per person, providing great value for the generous portions and free-flowing drinks. 

As the afternoon progressed, Salazar seamlessly transitioned into a dynamic day party. The DJ’s energetic beats had everyone on their feet, transforming the rooftop into a lively dance floor. The combination of delicious food, endless mimosas, and a spirited crowd made our cousin brunch an unforgettable experience.

Brunch at Chaplin’s on a Saturday? A total vibe. I took my mom out for a cozy ramen-filled brunch, and let me tell you—it did not disappoint. I went for the Spicy Stamina with chicken, a bowl packed with rich broth, heat, and all the comforting goodness you want from a solid ramen dish. My mom went bold with the Chaplin ASS (which stands for “A Stamina Special,” in case you were wondering), and it was just as flavorful and satisfying.

Something about indulging in a warm, slurp-worthy bowl of ramen in the middle of the day just hits different. Whether you’re recovering from a long week or just looking to switch up your brunch routine, Chaplin’s delivers on taste, ambiance, and that perfect laid-back vibe. If you haven’t had ramen for brunch yet, consider this your sign to make it happen.

Brunch at Ben’s Next Door: My Go-To Spot

There’s nothing like brunch at Ben’s Next Door, my absolute favorite spot in D.C. Whenever I walk in, the bartenders and servers greet me like family, they already know my order is coming: chicken and waffles with bottomless mimosas.

Ben’s Next Door is more than just a restaurant; it’s a piece of Black D.C. history. Opened by the same family behind the legendary Ben’s Chili Bowl, this Black-owned gem has been serving the community with incredible food, good vibes, and strong drinks for years. The atmosphere is always buzzing, whether it’s a chill Sunday or a lively game day.

This time, I brought my best friend along, and as always, we were treated like VIPs. Between the crispy fried chicken, fluffy waffles, and endless pours of mimosas, it was another perfect brunch. If you haven’t been, you’re seriously missing out—this place is pure brunch magic!

Brunch/Day Party at Focus

My sister and I recently indulged in a vibrant Saturday brunch at Focus Social Club, nestled in the heart of Washington DC’s H Street Corridor. The experience seamlessly blended delectable cuisine, invigorating music, and an ambiance perfect for capturing memorable photos.

The brunch featured an unlimited buffet paired with bottomless mimosas, priced at $65.99 per person.   The buffet spread was impressive, offering a variety of dishes such as eggs, bacon, mac and cheese, Alfredo veggie spring rolls, sautéed cabbage, homemade potatoes, plantain, Old Bay chicken wings, shrimp, tilapia, French toast, and waffles.  

As we savored our meal, a live DJ curated an upbeat soundtrack that elevated the atmosphere, transforming the brunch into a lively day party. The energy was infectious, with guests mingling, dancing, and fully embracing the celebratory vibe.

The interior of Focus Social Club is thoughtfully designed, featuring stylish decor and ample natural light, creating an inviting ambiance ideal for photos. Whether you’re commemorating a special occasion or simply enjoying a weekend outing, the venue provides a picturesque backdrop to capture cherished moments.

Overall, our experience at Focus Social Club was a delightful fusion of culinary delights, dynamic entertainment, and a welcoming environment. It’s an excellent destination for those seeking a brunch that evolves into a spirited day party, all while offering a setting that’s both comfortable and photogenic.
