When Matt was smacking the combat dummy and Karen was like “you’re so good at that I could never” and then Matt is like “I’ll teach you” and then they just have a weird slap fight, I pictured the ghost of Foggy Nelson popping up in the corner and giving them a really long, pointed look and saying “what are we doing here, guys?” And just letting the uncomfortable silence become absolutely fucking humiliating.

So in last night’s episode (season 2 episode 6), when Karen said she still has nightmares about Wesley, I immediately thought about this short fic I wrote years ago, and was so happy to think that it fits with canon.
