hello again!! could I please request the ddlc girls with a gn s/o that has a bad smoking problem? They tried quitting before on multiple occasions but their cravings always got the best of them :(
I'd like to apologize for writing this so late. I should have made this sooner, but I just didn't. I don't have a smoking problem myself, so I'm sorry if this is inaccurate. Thank you for your patience ♥️
DDLC girls with an S/O who has a smoking problem
Natsuki: She (respectfully) nags you about your smoking problem, but she knows she can’t force you to stop. She will do her research and find you different alternatives, like maybe getting you gum to satiate the oral fixation. She bakes you treats as a reward every week as your progress goes on.
Sayori: She is vehement about your smoking problem, but understands it’s an addiction. She is very excited when you quit, leaving you post-it notes that she’s proud of you as a reminder. She will recommend you patches and advises you to seek therapy. Sayori will celebrate milestones with you, and makes you small gifts she made herself.
Yuri: Out of all the girls, she understands your problems the most. She never forces you to talk about your smoking problem, but she’s there to listen. If you want help, she already has candy you can suck on or straws to chew on. She will spend time with you to distract you from smoking, like taking you to the library or reading together.
Monika: She does her best to research your addiction, probably spending an entire night educating herself. She asks you how she can help and she's always there to listen to your troubles. Like Sayori, she will write down motivational notes for you around the house to help you feel better. She'll treat you to an outdoor picnic for lunch if you're having a particularly bad day.
In the side stories universe, Sayori would be the group's resident food stealer! When they all go out to eat together or anytime one of them is eating around her, as long as she's in a pretty good mood she's gonna be stealin cuz she thinks food tastes way better from her friend's plate. She will be careful not to eat too much but she will do it everytime
Steals from Monika the most because Monika is the most tolerant of this trait and lets her steal as much as she wants, so much so that soon she ends up not even having to ask for it, it's just an expected dynamic that if Monika gets food Sayori will have some. Honestly Monika likes it, to her it's like a reminder that Sayori feels comfortable enough with her as a friend to do that with her, and honestly she likes sharing food with people more than eating it on her own
Yuri lets Sayori too but she has more boundaries around it, as long as Sayori always asks first and it's only a little bit, she usually lets her try whatever she has. Yuri quite likes being generous and sharing but she also really likes to just have her food to herself
Natsuki is the one who grumbles about it, (based on that one scene in the game) she likes getting Sayori snacks and stuff but if Sayori steals her food it's on sight. At first Sayori saw this as just a fun little joking around back and forth, just nabbing little bits of her food cuz it seemed like Natsuki was just exaggerating being pissed which she partially was but then one day Natsuki revealed that she doesn't always get much money for food so Sayori's food stealing was partially genuinely annoying, which she didn't reveal earlier because she wasn't ready to be that vulnerable yet + didn't wanna make Sayori feel bad but wow Sayori felt SOOOO bad upon hearing this info, started apologising profusely immediately, lay awake that night in a guilt induced spiral and bought Natsuki food the next day. Natsuki just insisted it was fine and it wasn't her fault
Probably felt bad about eating the others food for a while after that and was much more careful about asking once she did
Monika encouraged her again by telling Sayori she found that habit comforting
I think equally Sayori would want to share her food with other people tho, if she eats something really good she now has a mission to get the rest of them to try a bite of it to get their verdict!
Author's note: these are very very short but I thought it was a cute idea regardless!
Sayori
As a barista:
Overly friendly, the kind of barista to accidentally spill coffee on you due to her excitement but gives you like a hundred napkins and a free cookie to make up for it
Doesn't always get your order right but due to her enthusiasm she never gets any (serious) complaints and has yet to be fired
As a customer:
Comes in at least once a day for a cookie, cupcake, or some other sort of sweet
Enjoys hanging around on the regular for the human interaction. She knows all the baristas by name and they all know her
Yuri
As a barista:
Shy but friendly, she always knows just what you want, even before you tell her
Might give you book references depending on what your regular is if she knows you like to read (I see her as being the type of person to be able to accurately guess people's reading preferences based on their usual)
As a customer:
Always orders the same thing: plain black coffee with two sugars, nothing else
Usually goes to the coffee shop as a quiet place to study or read. She sits at a table in the corner and tends to herself until she's done with her coffee, then she leaves
Natsuki
As a barista:
Aloof and the only one here to openly complain about her job, but she's also by far one of the best baristas out there too
All you have to do is give her a basic idea of what you want and she'll have it ready for you just like that
As a customer:
I love her but she's a tad bit insufferable in the sense that she'll order something and then complain about them getting it wrong (even if it's exactly what she wanted)
Probably sneaks in her own home baked goods because "hers just taste better"
Monika
As a barista:
Average as a barista, reasonably friendly and almost always gets your order right
Has been known to flirt with the customers before, but it's unclear whether she's being sincere about it or she's just trying to get them to come back
As a customer:
Very polite to the baristas, almost to an unsettling degree. She typically orders the same things but may change it up occasionally if it strikes her mood
Mostly only visits coffee shops for a pickup or if she plans on meeting someone there for something
You already know she treasures what you make for her keeping these poems of yours safe and reading over them at least once a day, knowing the love you poured into each line gets her face all blushy pink
Within each writing she makes for you she asks you give her back, a nice little couple activity where you two laugh at each other when writing down different ideas asking what rhymes with the word your stuck on. She wants to hear your thought process on every line so please tell her everything when giving the poem as a gift.
If you want her to wear your clothes darling all you need to do is ask, though Monica might make you dress up in her outfit just as well, just to be fair so he also have a beautiful sight infront of her while you admire her
I don't know if you're still doing requests for DDLC, but can you do headcanons of the ddlc girls being the reader's neighbor? like, after their first day in the literature club, they find out they are neighbors when they get back home
Also, sorry if you didn't understand my request, English is not my first language
No worries, anon! I understood your request perfectly fine :] I didn't add Sayori because... she's already neighbors with the reader in game. Hopefully I did alright here!
Being neighbors with Natsuki, Yuri, & Monika
Natsuki: She’d be… a little embarrassed in fear of you learning about her father. She tries to keep that a secret, though. If you get into an argument during the club, it’s very awkward if the two of you are going home at the same time after school. Natsuki won’t admit it, but she appreciates the company, especially when it’s time away from her dad.
Yuri: She's flustered she hadn’t realized you were neighbors sooner. She enjoys walking from school with you, feeling like she finally belongs somewhere (other than the club). She lets you borrow her books and you chat about them while walking. Given your neighbors, she’d want to hang out with you after school, but she prefers if you approach it to her first. It takes time for Yuri to get the courage to ask you to hang out, if it isn’t academic related.
Monika: She’s already aware you live near her. You were the first member to join the Literature Club, making you the vice president. She finds it hard in her busy schedule to walk with you every day after school, but tries to make time. She often runs club ideas by you first before it's official. She might stop by your house if she needs to gather supplies for the club so you can join her. Monika will take any opportunity she can to spend with you.
Guess who got hacked out of his Tumblr account over the weekend!! It's okay though because I got it back today. Anyway, I wanted to play around with some of my DDLC headcanons, which I incorporated in this fic. Let me know what LGBTQ+ headcanons you have for the girls!
The girls excitedly bustled around Monika’s bedroom. You sat at the edge of her bed, fiddling with the rainbow beaded bracelet on your wrist.
Natsuki leaned closer to the mirror on the vanity desk. She wore a baby pink spaghetti strap tank top under a dark pink jacket. With her free hand, she smoothed out her blue, mid length skater shirt. Transgender flower earrings hung below her earlobe.
Sayori, with her tongue out, gently brushed Natsuki’s hair. She wore a bisexual stripped pride shirt in blue overalls. She had various pride pins on the overalls. A sunflower necklace was around her neck.
Monika wore a white tank top with leg pants in a pansexual ombre gradient. She tied the bow around her waist.
You lowered your head, staring at the mini pride flag in your lap. Your foot started to bounce on the carpeted floor.
Yuri murmured your name and gingerly sat beside you. She wore a rainbow heart embroidered shirt with a white turtleneck underneath it.
Yuri smoothed her long black skirt. “You’ve been quiet. Would you like to step out with me?” she asked softly.
Holding a breath, you nodded. She rose from the bed and crossed the bedroom. You followed her from behind. She reached her hand for the doorknob.
Sayori perked her head up. “Hey, where are you guys going?”
“We’re getting a snack,” Yuri said.
Sayori smiled. “Oh! Can you grab me something, too?”
Yuri nodded, and she led you outside to the balcony. She leaned her arms on the railing.
She toyed with her hair. “Do you not want to come with us to the parade?”
You shook your head. “No, I do.” You paused in thought. “I feel like I’m… missing something.”
Yuri blinked. “Missing something?” she repeated.
You gestured vaguely at her shirt. “You guys all have, like… pride related outfits. I’m just wearing regular clothes.”
Her eyes lowered towards your outfit. “I don’t follow. What you’re wearing is fine. There isn’t a dress code for the event.”
You opened your mouth, but no words came out. You took a deep breath. “I know. I feel like I’m not being prideful enough, I guess.”
Realization daunted on Yuri’s face. She looked over the railing of the balcony. Silence settled between the two of you.
She lifted her head toward the sky. “I’m not wearing anything special, either. The others are expressing their pride more than I.”
Yuri tugged at her shirt. “My shirt is very subtle, so I wouldn’t be surprised if people even missed it.”
She pressed her lips together. “That doesn’t make you less of a person.”
Your heart skipped a beat. Your lower lip dropped slightly.
A gentle smile grew on her lips. “You’re still part of the queer community.”
Relief fled over your body like a weighted blanket being draped over your shoulders. You released a tight breath you didn’t realize you were holding. Tears welled in your eyes and your vision blurred.
Yuri let out a sharp gasp. “I-I’m sorry! I said something stupid again…”
You gently grabbed Yuri’s hand. She tensed slightly. You wiped at your tears.
You offered her a weak smile. “Thank you for validating me, Yuri.”
She gave you a smile of her own and nodded. Yuri gave you a moment to collect yourself. She turned to the door.
“We should head back inside,” Yuri said.
You followed her back in and she turned into the kitchen. You rubbed your eyes.
“I forgot Sayori wanted something to eat.”
Yuri hummed. “That’s what our excuse was.”
She grabbed a cheese stick from the fridge but paused outside of Monika’s door. She turned towards you and you gave her a nod. She pushed open the door.
Natsuki stared at you. “Jeez! I was wondering when you guys would show up.”
You rubbed the back of your neck. “Sorry…”
Yuri held the cheese stick out to Sayori. “Sayori, we got you a cheese stick.”
Sayori hopped towards her and excitedly ripped the plastic off. She peeled the cheese.
“Thanks!” Sayori exclaimed between chews.
Monika clapped her hands. “Okay, everyone! We ready to go?”
Yuri looked over at you. You glanced at your bracelet, then locked eyes with her.
could i get the ddlc girls (separate) with a gn s/o that used to be a horrible person for absolutely 0 reason? but they genuinely changed themself for the better, however, they think that they're still a bad person and that they don't deserve to be with the girls because of that.
DDLC girls with an S/O who used to be a horrible person
Natsuki: She knows what it’s like to… have a rough history. But Natsuki doesn’t like it when you’re talking down on yourself. She’s quick to berate you about your self-destructive behaviors. If anything, she doesn’t think she’s deserves to be with you. Natsuki reminds you that you’ve grown into a better person, and that’s what matters most to her.
Sayori: She’s known you all her life, so she’s seen your character development with her own eyes. When she hears you talk badly about yourself, she tries to comfort you. She’ll become frustrated if you don’t listen and burst out crying. Sayori wants you to see how much unconditional love she has for you, and she wishes you could love yourself as much as she loves you.
Yuri: She reminds you that you are not your past. She was ashamed of herself in the past too, so she understands to a degree. But she doesn’t want you to be upset with yourself. She might gift you a book with a character who goes through a major development who changed into a better person. Yuri may not be the best with words all the time, but she tries to show her love.
Monika: Out of all the girls, she relates the most to you. She assures you that your past doesn’t make you a bad person and everyone is flawed. She tells you that your journey of growth is admirable and it doesn’t make you any less deserving of love. Monika has found so much happiness with you and you deserve as much love as you’ve given her.
