Mélisande from Pelléas and Mélisande -Christian Lacroix (2011)
Claude Debussey (1862-1918)
Debussy was also strongly affected by the Javanese gamelan, which he saw performed at the Paris World Exposition of 1889.. ‘ Debussey remarked that the school of the Javanese musician "consists of the eternal rhythm of the sea, the wind in the leaves, and a thousand other tiny noises, which they listen to with great care, without ever having consulted any of those dubious treatises."

Claude Debussy "Clair de Lune" // a modular reflection
You know the good shit? Listening to that one piece of music that’s not good or bad but it’s just nice and you can live inside it and it just blocks out everything else
(Sean Gibson) I recorded this piece and a couple others with Aaron Agrawal, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. stay tuned for more on the way!
