“P-please, your words are too kind. I-I’m not that t-talented... It took me years of practicing spells, finding and reading spellbooks, and much more.”
@deepseascreams ( Sal )
As much as he pretended in the Blue Sea to indulge in all of the Sea Kingdom’s festivities seemingly without a care, the octopus never fancied how mundane banquets were. In truth, alcohol was the only saving grace. On monotonous nights like those, he regarded the liquid as his dearest friend. Though, drinking heavily in the company of his late witch would have jeopardized her honor. In the end, there had been no reason for the octopus to restrain himself. He had always known that. And yet, when he watched Wadanohara during those extents, so close yet so far apart, Fukami never let go of his inhibitions. Even alcohol had not been able to free the young man of his previous resolve to deny himself of his monstrous wants, desires, and needs.
Only one man had been powerful enough to sway him. His confidence and acceptance persuaded the octopus to reconsider his place in the fake peace he once fostered, regardless of Fukami’s unwillingness to admit that aloud. The same man he was about to pay an unanticipated visit. Admittedly, Fukami was dragging his feet as he made his way to him. He dreaded how much of an ego boost his fellow denizen was bound to get from his rising popularity. How nauseating.
Everyone was aware Sal had been the coordinator of the previous banquet. Whether or not the shark truly felt a similar way in regards to such events, many requests were delivered by the people of the Sea of Death for their ambassador to be the coordinator of the next banquet. They wanted to celebrate their glorious victory, he supposed.
A single tentacle knocked on Sal’s door as he crept inside. His narrowed red eyes swept through the shark’s study before landing on his back.
“They want you to coordinate another banquet,” he said.
“It’s almost as if they didn't learn anything about you at all….. Leaves me to question whether or not the Sea Kingdom has forgotten what you used the last one for.”
A joke to follow up that statement never left his lips. He never joked, after all. It was obvious what the octopus had been about to say, though:
perhaps you should give them a gentle reminder.

[I joined this fandom yesterday and I would like to fight everyone. uwu ]
[PFFFFT. Now I have this amusing image of Idate going around and trying to pick fights with everyone in the series, including the Overlords, and I’m just like. IDATE NO. Yet at the same time laughing.
Also welcome to the fandom! I hope you enjoy your stay here~! Oh, and allow me to link you to a wonderful post that demonstrates how ridiculous this series can get. Enjoy~!]
