For my Defining Practice project at university I have created an awareness campaign on DiabetesUK.
For this part of my awareness campaign I have taken the current design of National Rail train tickets and changed the colour and added a design onto the back, similar to what I have done for the West Midland bus tickets. The change of colour is enough to attract attention from the public. As well as changing the colour I have designed a ticket system to help get the message across that 1 in 16 people in the UK have type 2 diabetes.
I have used the same ticket system as the West Midlands bus tickets. The ticket system is every 16th ticket there will be a change in ticket design. This is to represent the 1 in 16 people. This ticket will have a different message to the other 15, the message is ‘You could be that 1 Get tested now!’. Where as the other 15 tickets has a different message to say that they have fallen outside the 16th person. That message will show .You might not be that 1, But you could still be that 1?’
