This one is short and sweet.

Warnings: none really, perhaps reader being a bit scared and distressed but nothing else.

"The rest can go, but I'm afraid your friend here will have to stay." Aro's words had your heart racing, you looked to Bella for help but she's just as shocked as you, and Alice's face now contorted into a beautiful configuration of pain and regret.

"We'll take her back and turn her ourselves." Edward tries to save you from your fate.

"I'm afraid that's not on the table, I can forgive Bella because she's your mate, but the friend you brought might not be as reliable." Aro cuts him off staring into your soul, breaking the contact by giving a subtle nod to the vampire behind you.

He reaches you before you can attempt an escape, a hand wraps coldly around your throat tilting it for easy access. He bares his teeth, your mind races you try to think of anything but your mind remains blank and before you can think of the next words they slip out.

"I love you!!"

He halts, eyes widen staring into yours, tears run down scolding. You don't know why your mind decided on confessing something that not even you were sure of, you had just met this beautiful creature, but it did the job it bought you time.

"I'll come back, but please not here my love." You cry out, using more romantic language to stun him, whatever keeps you alive.

Knowing the next move could get you killed you try your luck, you wrap your arms around him trying to pull him into an embrace tugging at his heart strings. Letting go of your throat he let's you, sobbing into the collar of his coat you look up at him."Please take me out of here".

Demetri looks back at Aro, who's face now twists in amusement, he's impressed by the little show you put on. "Ah very well, who am I to deny your mate and future member's request." He sings.

And with that Demetri slides a hand to your waist and begins to guide everyone out with you tucked by his side.

Another headcanon for my favorite murder coven.

Imagine if when Aro dismantled Heidi's and Victoria's coven and Victoria was on the run and before Chelsea's power fully took hold Heidi plead for Aro not to send Demetri and Felix after Vicky. I'd imagine Aro agreeing after a bit of back and forth with Caius much to Felix's dismay because he already got what he came for and to make it easier for Heidi to join, also because he saw how her gift works in Heidi's memories and had no real use for her in the coven, but that didn't mean he didn't feel some resentment towards the runaway, and when the events of Eclipse took place Jane already knew about how Aro felt about Victoria and so she took it upon herself to try and fulfill some form of revenge for him after her use was up.

I was thinking about how before Demetri the Volturi had another tracker right? Well what if once Demetri joined they kept the one he would replace but had them both working on the same missions, a way to test out which of them had the superior gift, and once Aro decided on Demetri he didn't want to just let the other tracker walk out but instead had them both fight to the death, not so much for the entertainment (for the most part) but also for an opportunity to prove that Demetri has greater combat skills and doesn't rely on strength and gift alone. And that's the reason why nothing is known about his whereabouts, because he never left (not alive at least).

I also like to think that Demetri ripped the Volturi's crest necklace off the "poor guy" and that it's the one he wears, for him it's kind of like a trophy.
