A Family of Felonies
Man… I used to look up to you almost hero status You had the house and the wife and the beautiful kids you had a reputation that made everybody want to be your friend You were so smart sometimes even passing theory that sounded like they could be actual science
Late nights in your basement smoking cigarettes and smoking weed you would always tinker on some project on your desk and you were my favorite thing to watch
stoned.
First the house fall apart and that blame is on both of you but I guess I get it, life gets hard sometimes so hard it just won’t crack You were young so we’ll just take the hit Use this as a way to stand up and try again of course your family can come live with me
That’s when I saw, with behavior that I know so very well at first it didn’t bother me drugs take people differently and I know you were smart enough to beat it I had seem you beat it before or you just got real good at hiding it
I guess you were deeper than anyone thought As I watch you bent over and swaying behind your car almost falling over but just barely catch yourself and then yo were gone
You took your kids and wife and vanished and then I didn’t hear anything for months until you started to chase me, and dad when it comes to law and order a family of felonies
Don’t take this the wrong way but I was please when I heard you got picked up and this last time, you don’t get a bail I know how awful jail is I’ve done my time But even in it’s darkness, it can save a soul and now fingers find their home upon the key and I can vomit again freely I found a place hide when my cell doors opened and you will to
If I can survive it, so can you Man… I used to really look up to you
