D2: Reworking the Sanquine Alchemy Exotic
Been thinking about this lately and I really think we have a system now to do this well! Unfortunately my idea for this was to make it a void focused Exotic and grant Devour when you use your rift but the Secant Filiments do that already.
So instead here's the idea. I like the vampire theming and Warlock Chest armor deals with Rifts alot so what is a way we can incorporate siphoning energy, rifts and Vampire themes into an exotic?
Child of the Old Gods!
Child right now siphons energy or health depending on your rifts type. It lasts long and also weakens enemies who are within it's generous aoe. I think this is already a pretty powerful ability but it could be better if you sacrifice your exotic for it.
This is what I think Sanguine could do.
Blood Magic
When you cast your rift, you get a supercharged Child of the Old Gods. Kinda thinking like the amplified Arc soul getting insane damage and firerate. Could be red as well for the vampire vibes.
While supercharged, the Child has an increased radius, travel speed and, if there are no enemies in its radius, it will return to you, granting a large chunk of rift energy.
Whenever you deal damage to weakened targets while standing in your rift, it extends the lifespan of both your rift and the child.
What do y'all think?
