With Metagross there to act as a proverbial net Sapphire had been fully prepared to climb up herself after the boy. Everything was getting a little too precarious for her taste. There had to be a better way to catch this Spinarak.
Not that she got a chance to do much of anything. He had slipped and managed to catch himself again. Which did nothing to stop her heart from going to throat or to stop her surprised, scared - “kid” from slipping out either. Even knowing Metagross was there and wouldn’t the boy fall to his doom didn’t exactly reassure her to watch this whole process.
Heart still hammering a little Sapphire watched everything unfold. It was very sweet despite the sapping feeling of the adrenaline in her system from the scare.
“Oh I saw all of that. Didn’t miss a second.” She smiled back at him easily and crunched down in front of him. “Looks like you made a new friend. But are you okay?”
Already she wanted to fuss, even if there wasn’t much reason for her to. He might even be old enough the idea of it bothered him, letting alone the fact she was a stranger. She wanted to clean him up and get him away from anything that might break his neck. One scare was more than enough.

It rolled its eyes and glanced back over its shoulder at him, snorting derisively.
“I said I was still thinkin’ ‘bout it. Don’t fuckin’ piss yourself yet.”
When it turned to face him again, there was a second minimized Ultra Ball rolling between its fingers. It clicked its tongue thoughtfully, but waited until he seemed to be done with his panicked exclamations before approaching again, letting him back up until he hit the wall.
A smirk, the same smirk he so often used to wear when staring down those weaker than him crept onto the creature’s face.
“C’mon, ya fucked people up before. Use your imagination.”
Without warning, it lashed out, aiming a sharp kick at his middle as it returned the Ultra Balls to its pocket.
“I dunno how much time I gotcha for, so guess I better get on with it, huh?”
