“Sure you aren’t.” The redhead claimed with a knowing look and smirk on her face. Running into Dewey at the festival hadn’t exactly been on the itinerary for the day when Mei and her friends decided to attend the isle’s festival. But it seemed like fate wanted to work in spontaneous ways by having her arrive later than planned, thus resulting in her needing to navigate her way around until she spotted her friends, only for her to see her ex-boyfriend of all people instead. Not only that, but the both of them also caught wind of Troy Bolton, the sight of the still popular basketball star causing the pair to stay put at where they stood as he walked passed them— mystified. It was then when Mei noticed that smile on Dewey’s face. “He’s gotten even hotter too which I didn’t think was possible considering he was already hot as it is!” She added with a small sigh. The redhead then shook her head, the fixation on Troy leaving just as soon as it came when she once again focused back on the guy she was standing besides at the moment. “Looking for the squad. I was supposed to meet up with them half an hour ago but thanks to the amount of visitors the temple had today— I had no choice but to leave a little later than usual. But other than that, I’m great, and how about you?”
who: @deweydewdrop where: grocery store
It had been a few days since their blind date at the diner and Slightly and Huey had only texted without yet making solid plans to meet up again—things had gone fairly well between them, but in a way that was unclear whether they intended on going on more dates to feel out a potential romantic spark, or would just end up being good buds. Honestly, it was a confusing and eye-opening time for Slightly personally, as he’d never really considered dating another dude to be something he could just do, let alone something he might actually want. It was entirely intriguing for that reason, too, and he was curious to explore it.
So when he saw a familiar face in the grocery store on his midnight snack run, he made a split-second decision to be bold and sidled up to where the other stood appraising the cookie options. “Hey, handsome. Fancy seeing you here,” he said, raising an elbow to lean seductively on the shelving unit and promptly knocking down a package of Oreos. He managed to catch them in his free hand despite fumbling and cursing under his breath. “Hah. You should get these! They’re the best kind.” He offered the package as if helping to choose between Mint, Golden and Double Stuf had been his intention all along.

"Come on, we'd make a great dew-o!" Dewey pleaded. In reality, he was never going to sit back and not join in on the action when an opportunity was presented to him. What kind of adventurer would that make him?! Dewey liked to push the boundaries and prove himself capable of helping out, and he did not want to miss out on the excitement. This wasn't exactly detective work like he was currently being trained in, but he and Kim had a few side-quests together that felt similar to a situation like this. He was totally and completely capable of doing this! "I promise, I won't get in the way. I just wanna help!"
“I’m not worried about you getting in the way, I’m worried about you getting hurt,” Blossom replied, trying to balance her tone between gentle and firm. She didn’t want to hurt Dewey’s feelings by implying that he wasn’t capable of assisting in some good old crime-fighting action, especially knowing how he prided himself in his adventuring skills, but the simple fact of the matter was that he wasn’t invulnerable. She would feel responsible if something happened to him while trying to help. "You know what you could do? You could film—from a safe distance—for evidence. Get the firsthand scoop for your next episode of Dewey Dew-Night!"
"Sorry I'm late, I got caught up." -Dewey
Will Bubbles admit that she’s already been waiting outside Litwak’s Family Fun Center & Arcade for a little over an hour now since receiving a text from Dewey on whether or not she wanted to hang out with him there today? Well, if it were anyone else besides Dewey, than no— she oh most definitely wouldn't admit to such a thing. Never out loud. But because this was Dewey, no matter how much the brunette would rather keep her mouth shut and pretend that she hadn’t been so excited at the chance to spend one-on-one time with him after a while of them not doing so, as soon as her eyes landed on him as Dewey headed her way, Bubbles eyes lit up as a smile appeared. “You did have me waiting, but— I’m not upset. If anything, I came here a bit too early than needed, so I kept myself waiting equally as long as you did.” Bubbles claimed with a small laugh, yet there was no indication on her face or tone of her voice that she was upset for having to wait this long. If anything, she now was looking curiously at him. “But what had you caught up? You asked to meet here around 4’? And it’s almost 5 o’clock now?” ( @deweydewdrop )

Dewey shrugged his shoulders at the suggestion. “Well yeah, I want you to,” he admitted, “we probably just need to find a good reason first.” It had been awhile now, spending time with Tiffany and hoping for something more, but now he was starting to wonder if he was in over his head. Of course he was going to vent to his friend about his dislike for Randy, but was his distaste for his crush’s boyfriend even valid? “Help me out here, Mort, what do I do?”
“Say the word and I’ll take him down,” Morty vowed, utterly too eager about the idea of helping Dewey by way of violence. For all that he should be trying to keep his nose clean and not get into any scraps, there was nothing quite like a best friend’s personal drama to incite him to act up. If Dewey had wanted sound advice, he should have gone to anyone besides the friend who would automatically rile him up further and feed into his delusions. “I don’t need a reason to fight him. The reason is he sounds like a douche.”
Oh and let’s not forget it this beautiful humans birthday 💚❤️🎂
