There's nothing too new going on here, finally updated and now I have a third WIP in the making (whoops) -- Sorry to hear that you've been losing interest in reading. I've had that happen too, it sucks! It warms my heart that you thought of TLH though and I hope you're able to get back into reading and get a break from the busyness of life.

Hello Clam! How's your day? Hope it's fine and dandy😊😊 since I've been more active somewhat on discord I think I might as well send sometime here it's been sometimes. Anyways, if the characters and child mc went on a long walk journey 👀👀 who would be willing to carry child mc and/or for how long? Good day 💖💕

Finlay: Willing, Able, and Forever -- carries around a massive sword and shield, so a child is nothin'!! Probably, more often than not, tucks the mc under their arm like a ball and just starts walking lol!!

Lesilfae: Um... no. Unwilling, sort-of able, and never. If mc can't keep walking then they shouldn't have walked so far. Shakes his head and and waits until the mc builds up their energy again to go home.

Galeon: Willing, Able, and also forever. He's the ultimate dad imo, he'll literally just go, "Oh, my kid is tired." and put them on his shoulders, or carry them like a toddler lol!! He'd 100% invest in like... a baby harness to carry the mc in -- even if they are too old for one.

Hollond: Willing, unable, and for ten second. They're small, by the time child!mc reaches thirteen they're 'towering' over the poor Ovara lol!! They'd give it a go but... mc is better off asking Galeon to carry them.

Greta: Willing, able, until mc is able to walk themself. Her sibling is tired? Get ready for the piggyback ride of your life, kid!! Is able to run with them while she carries them and might even whine if the mc decides they want to walk again. She likes being a dependable older sister!!

Aww!! No need to apologize, I'm glad you're doing okay and that you've taken the time you needed for yourself. Social Media can be super overwhelming when you aren't feeling well -- I've been taking a super long break from Twitter and Facebook because it's just so... stress inducing. I hope your exams are going well!! Try not to give yourself too much stress and drink lots of water, get a good night's sleep and make sure you're eating, hon!! Mwah!! <3

Since a lot of things are shut down especially work places and school how would the characters react and do to sending child!mc off for their first day of kindergarten/school?

Finlay: Proud, wears their armor to drop the mc off and probably helped the mc do their hair. Stops them before they enter the school, settles on the ground on their knees, and gives mc a pep talk, "don't take smack from anyone, be nice, work hard, see you after school, kid..." and then sends them on their way!!

Lesilfae: MC is dressed to the nines when he drops them off, new clothes, fresh hair cut, new school bag, etc!! gives them a catered lunch and looks smug when other parents inevitably send the two glances like, "yeah, this is my nibbling/kid -- keep staring, you're kid won't ever be as amazing as mine!!"

Galeon: Drops the mc off at their class, gives them a hug and a kiss on the forehead then tells them to have a good day!! very simple, very sweet, but mc can see from the window that a few parents have stopped him to chat... and their parent is watching from nearby with disgust lol

Hollond: Probably dropped you off with Galeon so they give mc another hug and a kiss on both cheeks!! MC's dad will have to drag Hollond away because they keep hugging them, telling them to "be good, it's only a few hours, there's an extra cookie in your lunch-bag, I'll see you after school, don't worry, I love you, I'll see you soon, one more hug--"

Greta: "School sucks, wanna skip?" Is only half-joking as she waves to the mc when they enter the school. Probably hangs around for a while to make sure the mc made it to their class then leaves -- but is one of the first to be there when school is let out!! Celebrates by taking them to Bo's (though truth be told, they also went there for a celebration breakfast)!!

Excuse me while I come here and invade but will Hollond teach their tiny child to bite people? I'm just imagining child!mc being a menace biting other people or children who annoy them and driving their poor father up the wall. Poor Galeon has to deal with two gremlins smh

Hollond would absolutely teach the mc how to bite lol -- or rather, it would be something the mc picks up from them that Hollond encourages much to Galeon's distress!! Poor Gale, his 'spouse' bites him and now his child bites him... what next? his patients??

After all is said and done in Trials, watching child!MC grow is gonna be wack especially for Galeon and Hollond. Like they went from cute tiny baby to big gorgeous person. Especially when they old enough to be dating. Many people the mcs age that time gonna be interested cuz only human and all other stuff. Which of the companion characters gonna be protective of their kid/sibling when people tries to court them?

Most to least protective: Hollond, Finlay, Galeon, Greta, Lesilfae

Hollond is the most likely to scare off the mc's lover, purely because 1.) they're an Ovara and you don't mess with old families, 2.) that's their baby and they want them to be happy but also choose a partner wisely, and 3.) someone has to play the ''bad guy''! They'll chill out at some point, no doubt with Galeon's intervention, but it's rough in the beginning, haha!!

Finlay is the second most likely to scare off the mc's lover but not on purpose. They'd make the mc's admirers run a gauntlet to ensure they can protect and provide for the mc the same way they know their sibling can. Runs them ragged to the point that they say, "this isn't worth it" -- if an admirer sticks around? well, "welcome to the family. I'm your new sibling/sister, Finlay".

Galeon's totally cool with mc's many admirers so long as they treat his kid well! Will give them a good talking to before things proceed and then step back and let the mc handle the relationship -- if they ask for advice, he's happy to provide it, "Just keep in mind, I choose your baba, so my experience will no doubt be different from yours." Excited to have a future child-in-law and treats any admirers as if they were his own!!

Greta could care less lol!! she knows her sibling is a looker and very unique, so she doesn't bat an eye at the many people scrambling for their attention. She'll start to worry a bit more if the admirers start to get out of control -- then she gets her family involved and that's the last thing anyone wants!! Gives the mc advice, helps them pick out courting gifts, and urges them to give people a 'trial run' to see if they're compatible.

Lesilfae's reaction would depend on his relationship with the mc. If they're his adoptive child or his nibbling? he's going to pull strings to see who's flirting with them and whether or not they're a good partner. Is more worried about passing on his shop and doesn't want to pass it off to just the mc alone -- he knows running a shop on one's own is hard but he also doesn't want some fool without sense to get their claws into his legacy. Doesn't do much beyond gathering information though and will tell the mc to get advice from Galeon or (hesitantly) Greta and get 'protection' from Finlay and Hollond!

They weren’t sure what to expect when they opened the door but it definitely wasn’t a veiled person holding an unconscious child. Hollond stepped backwards from the doorway allowing their partner to fill in the extra space, “Uh, hello there, may we help you?” He rumbled storm colored eyes darting from the child to the large adult then back again. At first glance, the child appeared ill, skin ashen and sweat clinging to their forehead. The veiled figure held the child out to them, hesitating momentarily when Galeon’s hands made contact with the child’s clammy skin. 

“Take them. I-- Take them.” Without another word, they turned, disappearing into the darkening street, their veil beginning to blur and blend until nothing was left of them. The man stood stupefied on their doorstep then turned back inside with a hum of wonder. His gaze met with Hollond’s, the Yven appearing more than a little perplexed at the situation.

“What do we do?” They ask, voice dropping into a murmur and clutching their cooling cup of floral tea tightly.

“I suppose take care of them. Can’t very well drop them off anywhere with them being sick and...” not one of us. It remains unspoken but, almost as if through telepathy, his partner knows. 

“I’ll get the spare room ready.” Was all that was needed in reply. In tandem the two sprung into action, Hollond working quickly to prepare the spare room and Galeon attempting to alleviate the child’s fever. They worked well into the night and even more so into the day, only bothering to take a break when they knew the child would not perish when their backs were turned.

What an odd way to become parents...

Question, has mc always had an innate magic? When will it manifests and will the companions help mc by teaching magic? Is there other fighting styles as well? And does mcs magic differ from the realm their in since mc isn't from there in the beginning? Akajsjsksk feel free to ignore.

MC doesn't have innate magic -- it was/is something that occurred when they were brought into the realm. As for when it will manifest, who can say? perhaps it will be soon... perhaps it will be later... haha!!

The companion characters will help the mc train with both magic and other skills (or at least, that's the plan) -- Galeon will obv. teach healing, Hollond teaches persuasion, Finlay teaches offensive magic and swords, Lesilfae teaches 'mind' magic, and Greta teaches defensive magic and knives.

The mc's magic sadly isn't unique but they are considered a 'late bloomer' since magic is as natural as grass in the realms!! In mc's case, the only unique thing about their magic is that they can't cast every basic spell -- they'll only be able to cast a few and even then, perhaps, very strongly in some cases.
