Been away for a while, getting back into it and a review of the movie “The Magic Pill”
I think it must be well over a month since I posted anything and I have been away from here for a while, but I always come back - followers who read my posts know this. I think I have just been having trouble trying to get my head right as I cannot seem to start any kind of healthy eating regime no matter how hard I try. But from what I have been reading and studying, it looks like it could all be down to my gut microbiome being all out of whack - so I am addressing that is issue this time as well as trying to get my ass on the health train.
Have any of you ever heard of Colloidal Silver? No? Me either until very recently, and it was only until I read about it by total accident (I was reading a post about gut bacteria on the BBC news website and over the course of the week, I read a bunch more articles also) and realised that most of my own issues I have relate to poor gut health. So, I began to read up on how to test it to see what pathogens or bad bacteria I have (home stool test - that kind of thing) so I know how to tackle it, and THAT led me to Colloidal Silver and all of it’s amazing properties. I wouldn’t bother with a stool test now knowing what I do about Colloidal Silver - it will kill anything bad in the body.
Essentially, it is anti everything - anti fungal, anti pathogenic, antibacterial, antiseptic...... anti everything! But - and this is a big but - it only kills off BAD BACTERIA in the gut and in the body. The reason for this is that good bacteria that are native to your body have a lining of fat around the cells - bad bacteria do not. This basically means that as the Colloidal Silver is basically silver nanoparticles suspended in water, they cannot penetrate the fat layer on top of the good bacteria, but can on the bad bacteria as they do NOT have that fat layer on them to protect them - this means the silver particles can penetrate the cells, inhibit the division of the cells and KILL THEM! They used to Silver all the time before antibiotics arrived the late 30′s/early 40′s so it is basically going back to what actually works, but with a little 21st century knowledge to ramp it up a bit more.... Conduct your own research and decide for yourselves. A solution between 10ppm and 14ppm is what they recommend and make sure it is Colloidal silver and not Ionic silver (do your own research to see the difference...)
So upon further reading, they recommend that you cycle on/off for 2 weeks at a time and that you also take some high quality probiotics. I have purchased both of these and intend on starting my new regime today and I am going to document my mood and feelings. I am also going to cut down my sugar intake for this week (to stop feeding the bad bacteria) but I am hoping I will be able to taper off more naturally using this method as the Silver can kill off the bad bacteria and hopefully stop me feeling so shitty once I start stopping my sugar intake (which is one of the things that always stops me from succeeding on a low carb way of life) and supplementing with good probiotics should also help with reduced cravings and satiety (so I have read...)
Watch this space and I will post some updates in the coming days. Today, me and the wife are going to watch The Avengers:Infinity War and I cannot wait to see it! I have managed to make it through the weekend absolutely spoiler free so am dying to see what actually happens. But until then, here is my own review of “The Magic Pill” which is an Australian documentary about the keto diet which is definitely worth 89 minutes of your life....
It follows 2 groups of people - some Aboriginal people in New Zealand and some peeps in America. The Americans follow the keto diet for 10 weeks and some people in the experiment are a woman with a host of health issues, another woman who has to take a shed load of pills simply to function who has a precursor to dementia, a 5 year old girl who has Autism, a woman who more or less cures her diabetes and how they all react to it and how it makes them feel etc. The Aboriginal tribe do a 2 week “Back to their roots” course to help them reverse some of the diseases they have and how to basically get healthy again.
It was a good eye opener and refreshing to be reminded of how the human body reacts much better to a natural way of eating rather than the processed crap we get forced upon us by all the big companies who “Know what is best for you...”
There is also a really interesting section about how a woman refused chemotherapy and cured her own cancer. See it to believe it and make up your own mind. If you are a follower of Low carb, I highly recommend watching it.
