Seems Iori has picked up some of Koushiro's habits.

I totally headcanon that Iori picks up Koushiro's bad habit of spending hours and hours working to the point where he's basically dead because he needs to find to do something, he needs to prove he's a good defense attorney just like Koushiro overworked himself to find a solution to the reboot because he was the smart one and that's what he does, find solutions to problems.

Bonus headcanon: Takeru's the only one that can really snap them out of their work and their own self malice. Also get them to take a break and get some much needed rest

Trans Angewomon

So Digimon Survive lets you do the Patamon into Angemon into Angewomon evolution line and I think it's sick as fuck. Some other games let you do this too from what I've heard: Digimon World Championship (ds), Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode (3ds), and Digimon World: Next Order (Switch/PS4/Steam). There might be others, but it's a really cool line that I like a lot for the transness of it.

Digimon don't really have genders, or at least the social construct only loosely applies to them. They can be gendered, but there's no real basis for such a thing in the digital world. Biological sex isn't even a thing because they don't have sex or reproduce at all, data just gets recycled and it's very rarely if ever created or destroyed. So in this case any such things are entirely constructs of the human mind, and Digimon are just blank slates we project onto in order to relate to them.

I think this line draws a lot of attention to that concept because it shows by example how fluid gender can be for digimon, just as it is for humans. They can be assigned a gender and have their expression later on run contrary to the gender they were assigned, and that gender identity might change as it matures.

I even came up with a little story for how this could happen

A tamer meets their Patamon, they'te both still young and imature, but excited to face the world together. As time goes on, they both grow a sense of responsibility and maturity. Patamon matures into Angemon just as the tamer matures into an adult. But now that they're more mature, they have responsibilities with no direction, no sense of self. The still have no clue who they are or who they want to be, it's a period of uncertainty and depressive episodes. Once they figure out who they've wanted to be this whole time, Angemon evolves into Angewomon. With the transformation looking as if Angemon was breaking apart to reveal Angewomon underneath, like she was there the whole time. The two of them feel more whole than they never have before with a renewed excitement for life and a whole new set of challenges to overcome, but they have each other, and the infinite capacity for growth and change that both Digimon and Humans have in comon.

Kept it a bit vague cuz I feel like the tamer themself doesn't even need to be trans, the blatant allegory is more than enough, it's not even subtle lol. But they could be trans for sure. Might make more art to fill out this line more, like a mega, maybe an armor evolution, jogress (dna digivolution), and include the tamer as well. Idk there's a lot that can be done here if I want, but this is mostly for fun. I hope you liked the art and my analysis of the evolution line. Angewomon makes me very happy now and I have a newfound respect for her that I never had before

Iori and Ken will sometimes come up with mock court cases just to practice arguing

Yamato listens to some of the most objectively terrible music ever and Takeru holds it over his head

Jou’s phone passcode is 9-9-8-1 and Koushiro lectures him for like two hours on why that’s bad

Hikari’s computer password is Wizardmon99! And Koushiro lectures her for like two hours on why that’s bad

Koushiro’s password is literally MegaKabuterimon99? and Miyako fucking cracked it in under a minute and made fun of him for like two hours

Sora has to admit that she got slightly concerned for Biyomon when she first heard about bird flu. For like a second, she promises

Taichi hates wearing suits, but has to anyway. So he secretly wears weird socks with them. Like he’ll go out of his way to buy and wear Sasuke Uchiha socks just so he can feel less formal. Hikari found out and she told Takeru who told Yamato. Uh oh.

A concept i wish digimon would explore more is showing a digimon’s psychology and morals through evolution. Like have a utilitarian digimon who does horrible things but doesnt dark digivolve bc they genuinely believe they are morally correct (i would love it if one of the angel digimon did this just to hone this concept in). Like they’ll do brutal unethical experimentations but handwaves it off as “its for the greater good”.

Or do the opposite where a digimon dark digivolves bc they genuinely believe they are the worst when in reality they are probably one of the more morally righteous characters (i think fusion explored this a bit with beelzemon).

Like i think it would be pretty funny if the digimon with bright vibrant colors and angelic wings was killing baby digimon but the digimon with dark colors and a scary design was like volunteering at a food shelter

Digimon beatbrake headcanon: glitching

TT7 insists on GD training with them. They agree on Kyo’s assistance since the threat of the five stars coming after them is real. Hotaruko brings out that E.M.D (e-pulse measuring device) from episode 14.

The others don’t mind but Tomaro is hesitant because of, you know… his e-pulse. He tries to say something but Reina and Makoto don’t let him.

Reina: because she’s sick of the training and wants out. She also thinks it would be funny.

Makoto: he’s never seen Tomaro glitch a sapotama and is curious about it.

So Tomaro touches the E.M.D apologizing in advance. It starts to glitch yelling ERROR,ERROR, and sparking causing Hotaruko drop it before.

💥 BOOM 💥

No body moves

Tomaro: so it was an explosion this time.

Reina: that was awesome!

Makoto: it really did glitch.

Raito: WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT!

Tomaro: Sapotamas don’t really work with me. Haven’t seen any explode in a while that’s rare.

Hotaruko: this has happened before?

Tomaro: since I was baby. Usually my e-pluse just case it to glitch.

Makoto: maybe because it’s a measuring devic,it overloaded on your e-pulse. like what happened to Mimmicmon.

Raito: this can happen to Digimon too.

Reina: yeah, apparently Tomaro’s e-pulse is considered top quality to most Digimon. If that Mimicmon knew how to handle it, we for sure would have been blown from existence.

Raito (thinking of the times he’s nearly died from Armorlizamon’s attacks): what the hell are you!

Tomaro: I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW!
