Today, most would consider to be dreadfully cold. The weather was frigid with snowflakes beginning to fall but not sticking to the ground. The flurries had begun just this early morning, swirling around the buildings and melting upon people's noses. Most everyone was huddled in their heavy coats, tugging down on their hats, or burying deep into their scarves. The city was still bustling with people despite the brisk climate. Cars filled the paved streets but most everyone was going at the speed of molasses in all the traffic that had piled up. Nobody seemed to be prepared for the switch of weather, besides one individual that strode along the sidewalks whistling a tune to himself.
He, unlike the others, enjoyed the flecks of winter wonder ebbing through on an early November morning. He was dressed much differently from the others, consisting of dark brown pants that were tucked into black heavy boots. The boots consisted of a metal plate over the two and they clunked against the cement with every nonchalant stride he took. Around his thighs were multiple straps that linked to one another into a type of harness. The 'belts' contained extra loops on them to hold weaponry but there was no weapons seen on his exterior.
It was worn all beneath his coat that had black fur trims and a hoodie that was currently pulled back. Beneath the buttoned up coat was undoubtedly more straps but each contained a set of daggers, bullets, and guns. All the illegal sorts to be seen wearing out on the streets but no one stopped him. Not even a cop who only eyed him suspiciously for carrying a bag that consisted of a single strap, strung from one shoulder and rested on his opposite hip. All that was inside were some clothes, toothbrush, razor, and a few other necessities.
Pivoting in his step, he stopped before a hotel labeled “Moon Palace”. Whatever that stood for, the lean male shrugged his shoulders and started up the few stairs with a bit of a flounce to his steps. He was in a good mood which was rare for the male. “Fancy,” he mused, his pair of piercing eyes scanned the entrance to the building that opened up before him. It was spacious, everything so organized, and polished. He dragged his teeth over his bottom left lip's silver hoop piercing, a thoughtful gesture of the male. He contained many more piercings, one on his right brow toward the outer edge. And his left ear had a barbel, three studs and two rings. Whilst his right only contained two studs and a thin chain linked to a silver ring at the bottom.
His eyes were even more unique. They were brilliant cobalt hues that twined into electric blues before melting into a warm gold along the rims. Most found them 'eye-catching' but to him, it was a flaw. He had narrowed vision, like a sniper's scope. His peripheral vision was almost entirely blocked out and he could only see clearly really far away or real up close if he took the time to focus his eyes. Anything at a medium range he could see just fine without trouble. No matter, the lightly sunkissed tan male made his way to the front desk and dug into his back pocket.
Pulling out a wallet, he flipped over to grab a wad of money. “Remuel Wolfe... I called in yesterday for a reservation,” he spoke to the lady behind the desk. She quickly pulled up his name and smiled graciously before taking the money that was offered. Taking a moment, she started to ring up his name and the room. It didn't take her long and she soon was sliding him a key card.
“Okay you will be room 301, it'll be just to your left,” she announced before leaning over in her seat to see who was standing behind Remuel. “And what might your name be?” She spoke to the person behind Remuel as he gathered his things.
