Since the Guys in White aren’t a huge presence in “Eye for an Eye” or the rest of the series in Season 3 I might just be able to finish this in one part so wish me luck! I already mentioned part of this anyway in an earlier part of this analysis but yeah, there’s a lot we don’t know about these agents and things even they don’t seem to know either. Still, that’s what we’re here to find out as much as possible!
But first, if you haven’t read the rest of my analysis here are the links to them!

I mentioned this out of order, but while the government is usually painted in a bad light they really should have gotten a warrant before trashing Vlad and Danny’s homes. They straight up destroyed Vlad’s castle mansion and he was well within his rights to sue them for negligence and property damage.
The only reason they didn’t do the same to Fenton Works is because it’s in a residential area probably. But even if they had found anything, they wouldn’t be able to use any of it in court against the Fenton’s or Vlad without a warrant and reasonable belief to invade their homes in the first place...
And I mean, I get that it’s just a cartoon but seriously. Do you know of ANY government agency that’s going to act on the claims of a random 14 year old telling them that a BILLIONAIRE has a bunch of illegal ghost stuff in his home?
Honestly, at least they do have reason to believe Jack and Maddie do because there are not only records, but actual proof, witness testimony, and noise complaints filed because they’re not exactly subtle with their ghost research. Besides, it’s clear they actually have been watching the Fenton family and they want access to the only ghost portal they know about, but they don’t know about Vlad’s because he has the resources to hide his lab extremely well so it’s completely off the grid.
Ok, this next part I really don’t get. Why the heck were the GUYS IN WHITE personally in charge of demolishing the Nasty Burger? Is it only because Vlad countered Danny’s claims again by saying it was infected with ectoplasmic radiation?
But still, it seems wrong that the GIW were following Vlad’s orders just because he bought out the place. I mean, wouldn’t he have hired actual construction workers to do this? Or is this actually their day job, breaking stuff? I have no idea...
Also, this might just be me but did anyone else notice how several major events that happened in “The Ultimate Enemy” repeated themselves in this episode alone? For example, I pointed out how Vlad’s new underground lab before his new castle was totaled looks EXACTLY like Future Vlad’s which you can read in more detail about here: https://thesoulspulse.tumblr.com/post/668263338465198080/danny-phantom-randomness-vlads-final-mansion-in
So yeah, for one thing, the lab was almost exactly like the one in Dan’s timeline minus the location. But what else happens in this episode? Vlad’s castle gets destroyed because of Danny. And not long after, the Nasty Burger is destroyed too.
Then there’s the fact that this is the first and ONLY time we see Danny overshadow one of Vlad’s duplicates. Thankfully it wasn’t Vlad’s true ghost half or we could have had another Dan on our hands which frankly I would have preferred.
It’s not until the last episode of the series that Danny tries to “get rid of” his ghost powers because he can’t handle the depression anymore which don’t even get me started on how he’d never do that and let’s get back on topic.
Now this is where things get interesting. Or, more like it brings back something else I brought up on how pointless it would be for the Guys In White to originally come to Amity Park to collect a million dollar bounty on Danny Phantom’s capture when later on in season 3 they BUY Fenton Works, lock, stock, and ghost lab.
Oh, which reminds me, it turns out that we DO see the actual amount they were given and it’s...literally an insane amount of money. They paid a Quintillion for it. As in 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 which has 18 zeros in it. A billion dollars only has 9 so...what does that tell us? They paid 4 times more than Vlad has altogether and he’s the richest man in the world! So as brief as it was, this one episode made the Fenton Family richer than Vlad Masters!
Crazy right?
How Many Zeroes Are In Each Amount Of Money:
Ten 1
Hundred 2
Thousand 3
Ten thousand 4
Hundred thousand 5
Million 6
Billion 9
Trillion 12
Quadrillion 15
Quintillion 18
Sextillion 21
Septillion 24
Octillion 27
Nonillion 30
Decillion 33
Googol 100
And just...ugh, this is so wrong to me because Jack and Maddie have NEVER cared about money before because they had to have some kind of funding for their research in the first place. Most likely family money.
But putting that aside, wouldn’t it have made MORE sense for them to ask for the blueprints to the ghost portal itself to build their own?
Sure they might destroy reality since the Ghost Zone is the flip side of their world, but personally it makes more sense to me because one...I don’t believe even they’re THAT stupid to the point of sending an anti-ghost nuke into a dimension they clearly know so little about. You’d think they’d want to do as much research as they could about where these ghosts live first or maybe even try to find a way to close the connection between both worlds permanently instead. That’s just me though!
Also, Tucker...why did you have to gloat like that about knowing the password? And even if you didn’t, you DO realize they could have blackmailed you into giving them that information right? I think you’re smarted than that and this was just the plot forcing things to progress as usual...but at least Danny managed to save the day and they get Fenton Works back.
Anyway, I’m glossing over a lot of things but again, this is about the GIW.
Ok, this last part has barely anything to do with the GIW but that’s almost the whole point. When the Earth itself was threatened by a giant anti-ghost meteor, where were they? Nowhere to be seen!
For some random reason I can’t even begin to think of they just up and left the fate of the entire planet up to Jack Fenton and Vlad along with his team of Master’s Blasters to get rid of the Disasteroid. But then Vlad sabotaged the attempt on purpose to pin the blame on Jack so he could take all the glory.
I literally don’t remember seeing the GIW once in this episode, not even in a montage. But why is that? You’d think they’d be the first to step in with all their ghost know-how to save the Earth right? They ARE part of the government after all. But nope, there’s no sign of them at all.
Which reminds me, I don’t believe for one second Valerie would have been beaten this easily. She’s got infinitely more experience fighting ghosts than these random teens Vlad hired. I mean, come on! This is Valerie we’re talking about! If anything, the GIW would have scouted her ages ago as an under the table ghost hunter on their pay roll.
That brings me to my final point. I brought this up in my fanfic “Turning Point” but why aren’t there any female agents? I don’t believe for one second a ghost agency as big as they are wouldn’t have agents in other fields not to mention gender, such as scientists, weapon specialists, doctors, geneticists, you name it.
Like, even if they were too stubborn to change the name I think they’d welcome anyone with the right qualifications to help keep the ghost population under control. But again, we know next to nothing about these guys like when this agency was even formed or why. Personally, I believe they have a branch of agents that deal with extraterrestrial issues in Area 51 and kind of have a rivalry with them since it’s much harder to prove ghosts are a real threat.
So to wrap this all up, I kind of like to imagine the GIW like the SCP Foundation that study, confine, and protect oddly enough various anomalies which in this case are ghosts. They classify them and figure out which ones are a real threat, and which ones could be beneficial to the human race.
And that’s it! That is literally all I was able to find out about the GIW. It took forever but this research is going to be very useful in my future projects so feel free to borrow any ideas that catch your eye and expand on this if you come up with some theories of your own!
oh my god jack put down the giant vlad head and look behind you oh no the disasteroid’s coming straight for your car oh my god it’s punishing you for creating something so cursed
It’s such a cool concept and handled really well! Not only does it bring a really good point of conflict, it’s also a really good ending antagonist for Danny to deal with and a nice change from all these ghosts! The way the ghosts came together to stop it was beautiful and really accurate to how exactly that would’ve panned out based on earlier episodes!
It was super scientifically accurate! I’m sure @narwhalsarefalling would agree with me on this.
Not to mention, the name is super catchy! I could say it all day, ha ha!
