I got a Disney Professional Internship!

Specifically with Magic Kingdom Engineering Services! I haven't gotten the official offer yet but the manager I interviewed with called me back that night and told me I was their first choice and should hear from casting soon! I'm incredibly excited and am honestly still in shock. So, anyone who will be in WDW this fall on a CP or internship, hit me up!

Tuesday Update!

Hi everyone! I’ve been having a rough two days, but I finally had some movement on my dashboard today!

I went In Progress for Marvel’s Social Media and Print Production Internships!

I actually only applied to these two internships yesterday (2/20) and I’m so glad I did! I’ve been pretty late to the game with applying due to some personal struggles over the past few months, so these are the first two internships I’ve gone In Progress for!

I’ll keep this blog updated if I (hopefully!!) get a phone screen. A little movement really brightened up my Tuesday morning!

To those who have done a PI, is “In-Progress” good or bad?? It’s so different from the DCP and the waiting game is way worse.

Rapunzel Dreams.

Today I feel like Rapunzel. In 38 days, I'm moving to Disney to start my dream job, with my dream company, in my dream location. And I'm completely terrified. I never thought beyond actually getting an offer from Disney. I never thought about moving, or finding a house, or leaving my friends and family and going somewhere where I know no one. "That's just it.... What if it's everything I ever dreamed of?" No one ever talks about how completely terrifying it is to follow your dreams.

Disney Theme Park and Resorts Management Internships offer participants the opportunity to work in a professional setting while adding real-world experience to their Resume/CV from a world-renowned entertainment company.

Juniors, Seniors or Graduate students may use this opportunity to advance theories learned in the classroom while leading cast members from around the world and providing world-class service, Management Internships offer the opportunity to cultivate leadership skills, while being an integral part of our world-class the operations.

Food & Beverage/Culinary - With many food and beverage locations in our Theme Parks and Resorts, our mission is to "Make Every Guest Feel Special" by creating magical memories and superb guest experiences. Our food and beverage managers orchestrate dining experiences around our Theme Parks and Resorts, from dining with your favorite Disney Character to catering events. Internships may be offered in:

Hotel Lodging Operations - As a leader within the hospitality line of business, Management Interns could have the opportunity to lead resort cast members in their day to day role, in many roles including:

Park Operations - Our leaders in attractions, custodial, transportation, entertainment and main entrance operations provide quality guest service while leading a team of cast members in their area. Internships may be offered in:

Requirements*

:Applicants must

Be a minimum of Junior or Senior Level status, currently earning a college or university degree

Demonstrate strong leadership, follow-through skills

Have a strong desire to coach, mentor and develop front-line cast members

Provide their own housing and reliable transportation

Proven leadership and guest service experience is preferred

Proven knowledge of line of business operation is preferred

Majority of roles require prior experience in related lines of business
