Also,like such a dump thing but I always thought it had to do with August Dixie from mechanical circus lol. Yeah that's all :)
Dixie's Family

So… This is a really difficult question. A lot of what EP wrote or showed about the characters was left out, one of them being the Dixie family.
EP always tried to bring an air of mystery and surprise to his stories, showing faceless characters, new characters who sometimes had no connection with other characters or other stories.
The Dixie family was quite affected by this, because of one factor! Almost all the characters in Rockland were from the Dixie family or had some relation to them. Before, EP said that Sydney was a Dixie and then changed the story saying that he was adopted by them. EP also said that Whesker was from the Dixie family, which, in my opinion, was the story that made the most sense. Then EP changed everything and left the Dixie family in an enigma.
In fact, EP didn't have a script for this, and simply threw the characters into roles he found agreeable. It was only with the creation of the Rockland account that EP managed to give direction to this universe. However, some time later the hate came and EP ended up leaving, kind of leaving this evolution behind. Which is a shame because the story was really getting good and he had more consistency in the characters. So yes, canonically, only August is mentioned as a Dixie and no other family member was posted besides August.
But so as not to leave you only with this information, EP had the idea of making Whesker's family the Dixie family, so technically Whesker would be a Dixie. Another thing, something EP implied, is that the Stryker family (Sydney's family) would be related to the Dixies, which is why Sydney is shown with two surnames. (which I think this information is canonical).
Now, my opinion, based on things I know and saw during the creation of EP, is that the Dixie family would be a combination of families. The Dixies wouldn't be another family, but literally the sum of the families that EP had shown. In my opinion, the Dixies were the Wheskers.
