I love the fic so far! Haven't put it down really. I have 4 books on my shelf I could be reading but I'm reading this instead xD
There's a strange phenomenon that happens when you relate to a character, the phenomenon of emotion.
It can make you feel better because "I'm not the only one" yet at the same time, it can drag you to a place where you have to face what's making both of you miserable.
You have to ask yourself if you really have the same problem, thus the same solution, or if it's just barely different enough to have a different, unknown answer.
And depending on the day, you'll come to a different conclusion.
You've perfected the art of utilizing this phenomenon because I keep flopping emotions EVERYWHERE, I relate to Phil and Wilbur both to a scary amount. You've made me both question everything and also feel far more secure in where I'm at at the same time lol
Anyway, can't wait yo see what happens next. It'll probably take me forever to finish so don't expect me to comment on the ending anytime soon XD
the balance between characterization, relatability, and realisticness is really hard to nail down, so I'm glad you "keep flopping emotions" haha. especially since I prioritize characterization and realisticness a lot more than relatability, which I usually don't care for too much. I admit i never write the characters with relatability in mind--it's more like I focus on how their individual characteristics mesh with basic human nature. but if the characters are reflective of human nature, then they do often turn out to be relatable!
