Vanquishing Vacillation

Hmmm...

I am here. Now.

It has taken many days of "will do it tomorrow", weeks of "let me organize my thought" and months of "have I got it right?". But now that I am here, it feels strange.

I find myself a bit uneasy as I write, erase, and rewrite this piece. It is like venturing into unfamiliar territory. It is like those weird dreams where characters are all known faces but the settings seem whacky and out of context. The thoughts are well formed, but they are coming out on the post in dissonance. And that makes me nervous. My anxiety is not about whether I will be understood, but about whether I will be able to say what I want to say coherently.

I have never been much of a writer, but this is an experiment I am committed to making. I want to send out my view of the world and listen for any echoes or responses. My hope stems from the assumption that the questions I seek to address are universal-

What is reality?

What is life?

Is there free will?

Is there God?

At worst, when I read what I have written, it may bring out logical gaps and help me examine my beliefs.

At best, I may get to see the world from other perspectives and evolve my thinking to be able to make better sense of the world.

The meandering of mind is now in motion!

I just wanted to blog about my Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ for a moment. Not too long ago I received some godly criticism from a friend and it hurt... Like I know they meant well but it still hurt. Later on I felt as though I didn’t do what God wanted me to do and I felt He was displeased with me... Even this morning at church I had the thought “God doesn’t love me” cross my mind... Later while I was spending time with God, I told the devil to go to hell and take his lies with him. ...I may not always do what I’m supposed to, God may be displeased with me sometimes. And heck I may even stray away from God... But no matter what I do there’s one thing that will never change: God will always love me. After all, in the song “Jesus Loves Me” there’s a part that goes: “Jesus loves me when I’m good, when I do the things I should. Jesus loves me when I’m bad, even though it makes him sad.”

Point here is that, God still loves us, even when we do wrong. It does displease Him, but we are no less His Children. Parents still love their kids, even when they do wrong. It does however hurt the parents when their child disobeys.

And if you need biblical proof: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” -John 3:16

Point is... if God didn’t love me, He would never have sent Jesus to die for me. He’d let me rot in hell... He might not have even went through the trouble of creating me. And even if He did create me while not loving me, why would I have it so good? The answer is simple:It’s because God does love me. And the correction I receive from Him sometimes, even though unpleasant. it’s meant for my own good, Because He loves me. The Bible verse doesn’t just apply to me, not just to my fellow Christians. But to the entire world. For God so loved the world. God loves everyone... every single person that has lived on this planet, He sent His Son to die for us. The main point I want y’all to take from this is that God loves you. Even if you’re right with Him, even if you sin. Even if you aren’t a child of God and don’t even believe in Him or are unsure of His existence. I just want you to know that God loves you,and He wants what’s best for you. ...So next time you hear the devil or anyone  for that matter say “God doesn’t love you.” I want you to remember the proof of the Bible and all God has done and to tell the devil or other person to shut up and take their lies with them.
