Tali'Zorah nar Rayya vas Neema - Everyone's favorite Quarian little sister (or in the case of many a broshep, lover). I decided to take a crack at her design without her helmet, something that still looked at least a little like the lame face reveal from ME3, but something that was a tiny bit more alien and slight less human. The idea I had is that Quarians would have gill-like structures on their neck and sinuses to respirate in and out certain spores and pollen, as mammals on Rannoch are the main pollinators. Here, her gills and small respiration pores allow her to breathe in and out air that contains plant spores. This is, at least in my mind, how Quarians and other related species from Rannoch would in part help spread vegetation on their homeworld without the use of insect life. I had fun with all the little details of her suit, especially the scrolling pattern on the fabric portions. I definitely cheated on the hexagon pattern, though, with a pattern overlay. This one was a challenge, especially since it was my first full illustration in well over a year! I did this in plague summer, so its my most recent finished piece to date, but I am diligently working on another.
