Episode 7 is called The Wolf and the Dragon, or The Dragon and the Wolf. Pass me a f*cking bucket.
Hey, at least we know that Jon is STILL a WOLF. Always a wolf/Stark and NOT a dragon/Targ.

Roomie and I are drinking to celebrate her graduation...
Her: I have the mouth sweats.
Me: huh?!
Her: like when your mouth gets all salty before you puke
I don't usually share personal/cute kid stuff because it makes people nauseous.
...and I spent enough years childless that I get this, TOTALLY. Other than my own child, I generally sit there and smile and nod and look for an escape route myself when people start in on stuff like this.
However, this was an 'awwww' moment, even for me.
My daughter just turned 5. She's autistic and nonverbal, very bright and very affectionate, but not always aware of others around her. She is also beautiful. Long blonde hair, huge blue eyes, people stop us and ask us if she models beautiful. I don't know where she gets this; we suspect our cat connived with her homeworld to bioengineer her. It would explain so much.
I mention the last ONLY because little boys are absolutely fascinated by her. Maybe it's the long ponytail (she's got a LOT of hair for her age); I don't know. She doesn't treat them badly, she just doesn't notice. If she's in the mood to socialize, she will; if not, they can stand there all day and she's not going to pay attention. (That's not being witch, that's just autism for you. In her own world, that's her.)
So, today, I bring her in to school and she MELTS DOWN. I mean, sitting in her chair, shrieking at the top of her lungs, crying as if her heart would break melting down. And of course, she can't tell us what's wrong; she can't speak. I'm sitting there, trying to calm her, her teacher's sitting there, trying to calm her.
I hear some rustling and I look up. Standing right behind me, just in front of her, is one of the little boys in her class. (And a sweetheart, too; he's come over to play several times.) Behind him, three others and the lone little girl (also a sweetheart.) (And keep in mind, there's only 8 in this class.) The little girl starts patting her knee and the other three are just staring at her with these woebegone expressions which are just priceless. Take every male "Oh, god, no, she's crying, what do I do?" expression, and you've got it.
The lead little boy (btw, he's 4) is holding four thick crayons. Purple, red, blue, yellow. He's holding them like a bouquet. And he says, "Daddy gives Mommy pretty colors and she smiles."
And that just got me. I know he's thinking flowers, and I'm thinking, man, that is some impressive parenting right there. And also sweet enough that unsentimental me is sniffling.
I'd like to say my daughter perked up and took the crayons and got over it, but this isn't Disney, it's autism, and she was still in her own world and not one bit happy. But the teacher and I thanked them all very nicely and told them how kind they were for caring, and they went away smiling, anyway.
But yeah. I confidently predict that's one young man who will be exemplary and hopefully have his pick of nice girls (or boys, whatever he chooses).
My daughter, OTOH, might still have her pick, but I'm not sure she'll give a crap. :)
So I came home from work today and was surprised to find little post it notes all over our apartment that all said the most beautiful things. My boyfriend never ceases to amaze me and he never lets me forget how much he loves me, especially when I've got a lot on my plate. I have an amazing guy in my life and I feel so lucky.
