Is it bad that I say this all year round?

people just the smallest little asks like a heart or smiley or just a simple compliment can turn somebody's whole day around i had a shit night last night and felt like i was going to throw up the whole time and i get on here and check my messages etc. and i find that a) my new buddy is doing okay and b) somebody left me a heart and smiley face and that makes my day because it's the littlest things you can do to turn somebody's day around like that person did for me

The Cashier's Rant

Don't put your money on the counter. It's rude. By setting your money on the counter instead of in my hand, you are saying that my skin is not worthy of touching your skin. It is still done as a symbol of racism in some areas and is just plain rude otherwise. Even if the cashier is rude, you have to be better than those who are participating in base behaviors. If you are a cashier, hand the money back to the guest/customer/whatever-the-fuck you-call-'em. Don't be rude because the other person was. Like I said, don't stoop to a lower dignity because that jerkwad doesn't want to be a decent human being. Once more if you are making the purchase, place your money/card in the cashier's hand. If you are the cashier, place the change, card and/or receipt in the same guest's hand. Don't be rude. End Rant.

Punctuality

I am not always on time, and people rarely ever are always on time (and when they are, I admire them!). But this is ridiculous. I honestly should have expected nothing more from these individuals. They are never on time and never seem to respect my time. Thankfully I am on summer break and my internship has not started, otherwise, I would not be annoyed; I would be furious beyond my mind. So they are lucky. Ugh.
