That was the problem with apologies. No one wanted buts with them, even good buts.

Death isn't reserved for the old. It doesn't sit idly by and wait for you to do everything you wanted. It comes on its own timetable, whether you're ready or not.

MY REVIEW
Fated by Donna Augustine is the third book in the Karma series, and the more I read, the more I am loving it.
Things are changing and not all of them are for the better.
Are people all good or all bad? What about the gray area in between the black and white?
Is an apocalypse coming? Can they stop it? Are they even supposed to?
The Jinxes saved her and now they have become her posse. She will need them. They bop around on skateboards and act like a bunch of teenagers. We all know they are not. Who knows how old they are?
I love the humorous writing mixed in with the seriousness.
Karma even meets the Gods.
Another god having a temper tantrum in less than a week? I’d either been created at a bad time or these folks needed some anger management classes.
The fight against good and evil rages on, but the romantic love story traverses time. Plenty of sexual tension, spice and heat as Karma struggles to come to terms with a love that will not, cannot be denied.
AND THAT FRIGGIN’ ENDING. OMG! It almost had me in tears and I was blown away by such a surprisingly fabulous ending. That makes this over the top and a five star read for sure. I am so invested in this series, I don’t know how I’ll be able to wait for Dead Ink, Lar’s Story. I recommend the series be read in order.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Fated by Donna Augustine.

Book Review: Karma
This book is by Donna Augustine and it is the first book in the Karma series.
Camilla was a normal woman riding a train back home to her fiance a week before their wedding. In the blink of an eye, she is suddenly standing in the middle of a train wreck, literally, when a man named Harold shows up and tells her she is dead and has to come with him. She refuses to believe it until she sees her dead body. She goes with Harold convinced this is all not happening. She then finds out that she is meant to be Karma. She finds out that the whole universe is run out of an office building and that she is a transfer, something that usually never happens. Camilla is thrown for a loop when she begins to realize just how special she is and how she was chosen to be where she is. The only question is, can she stick it out?
All right, I kind of liked this book. A mean, it was a new take on what we think controls the universe and all that. I almost liked Camilla too but sometimes she seemed so strong willed and smart but other times, she was wishy washy and whining. I also didn’t like how she let Fate, a character, just walk all over her and even when she didn’t want to do what he wanted and he dragged her around and forced her, she would go along with it. I didn’t like that part of the book and her character. Otherwise, the other characters were interesting and the story about how Camilla became Karma and why she was chosen seems real intriguing so I am interested in reading more. I may continue the series when I can get my hands on the other books.

MY REVIEW
Just looking at the wickedly cool cover for Karma by Donna Augustine, I knew I wanted to read it. I was hooked from the very beginning.
She fights Fate tooth and nail. She is a transfer and a problem for him. I love her and her feisty attitude. I don’t blame her for being ticked off, being forced to do a job she didn’t sign up for.
“Don’t break her.” I laughed out loud when I read it.
The fabulous, quirky characters have supernatural agendas, working to keep the world running in the natural order of things. So, come on in and meet, Karma, Lady Luck, Fate, Murphy’s Law, The Jinxes…
In this wildly funny story, the star is a feisty, hard headed girl who thinks she chooses her own path, but does she? Is our destiny already written or do we have free will?
I couldn’t put it down and read it start to finish in one sitting.
Oh no. There isn’t a cliffhanger, but there is no end. I hate that, but I loved the book.
I picked this up as an Amazon freebie.
