Long legs spread out in front of the red head as they allowed their hands to rest behind them, head falling back with a wide smile on her face. The sun prickled at tanned features, and she couldn’t help but feel elated by it.
Coming to the city had been a tough choice for Stardust. She had always been nomadic, moving from one place to another. Making a home as best as she knew how, but this was for a purpose. A greater one that she felt she needed to serve.
But being here, surrounded by nature reminded her home much she genuinely missed being in the woods. She missed the feeling of dirt and mud between her toes, the smell of the trees, and the feeling of the sun on perpetually scorched shoulders. Summer was the hero’s favorite time of year because no matter where she was— a concrete jungle or deep into the forest— she always felt the effects of nature.
Shamelessly she had surrounded herself with flowers of her own creation, allowing them to sprout around her body and between her fingers. She laid back on the ground, a pleased sigh parting a heart shaped pout as she took in the world around her.
Being in the city was so tiring, it was as if she could feel it sucking the magic right out of her sometimes, but like this Star felt powerful.
In her usual fashion she had spent the afternoon playing in the park, speaking fondly to the creatures that lived in the trees, and finally she had relaxed into the ground.
As footsteps approached she sat up on her elbows, eyes wide as she gave her new friend a wide smile.
“The weather is amazing isn’t it?”
