look at that body of his he's definitely gay asf mmmmmm oh boi
Doom but it's all water-based with leviathans, demonic fish and merfolk. The Sentinels being more of sea dwellers; sailors, fishermen, the like. The Slayer as a Murrindalaspis merman.🤔🤔
one thing is the uac establishing bases on other planets and i guess cities, even though we barely see the actual city part of d3's mars city
but i wonder about cities in space, like bases and ships in space where people live in and do city things, while they look at the stars and walk their space dogs
2016 i think had one or two multiplayer maps taking places in large ships in space (maybe one was underwater, but the space one also had portals to hell)
and i already talked about the potential of doom having more space stuff beyond Mars Core, like the Cultist ship unused from Eternal or those concept arts for planets
Silly Game Time: Who are some immortal characters you really like, and why? They could be truly immortal, meaning they've always existed and always will. Or functionally immortal, meaning they won't die of old age, disease, or hunger, but can still be slain somehow. They could be basically human (physically and/or mentally) apart from their immortality. Or they could be entirely inhuman in their form and nature. Or it could be ambiguous.
They can be from any genre of any media (movies, shows, books, comics, games, etc.) (OCs count, too, if you like). All that matters is that they are defined as being "immortal", and you like them!
Doomguy. It's a bit of an unexpected one, but doomguy by all accounts *is* immortal.
His story as I understand it is rage, built upon guilt built upon millions of years of ptsd from surviving off the demons he kills. There isn't much of a person left in his body after eons of just hunting demons. He only starts healing millions of years later, and even then at the end of it all? He's sealed in the closest equivalent to a coffin.
In theory, he could be slain- but his people depend on him continuing. He can't die because he isn't allowed to.
Doom isn't known for it's story. Certainly not. TDA shows what happens when you force too much story to the front of a doom game and not enough on gameplay. (Cough cough parry hit box cough cough.) But developing on the core of just how much pain doomguy has had, and how much has been forcibly taken over millions of years- becoming the character all about business and slowly regaining a life.
The doom I fell in love with is 2016. It's Still going strong and holds up well for a 10 year old game. I might dare say it's better than TDA for me because it did something special for me at a time when I wanted more than bugs bunny comical violence in a video game. When I needed more than simple shooters.
Instead, Doom handed me a shotgun and demons to shoot.
I fucking love this franchise.

Sorry for disappearing—I’m back with some new art! It’s been really hard to get back to managing my other social media accounts because I’ve been so busy :(
Doomchief where Chief puts on a gun show for the Slayer like he's a king's jester, even though his and his boyfriend's muscle masses are kind of incomparable. Flynn just likes being reminded that there *is* someone out there who can handle him, and that person is right by his side, close to his heart, trying to make him happy. And maybe it's a nice view, but that's not as important.
DOOM 2016 felt like an absolute masterpiece when I first played through it, but now that I've beaten Eternal and TDA and am working on 100%'ing them both, it feels almost mediocre. It's still a really fun game, but I was a lot more Enjollied with the next two games,, kinda weird
