Job For A Cowboy in 2005-2006
You’re right, Cleopatrick’s latest clip is fkn scaring me! (▪‗▪)
Or it’s unsettling, to say the least. Over a sluggish, reverberating beat, the duo drag an analogue TV through the Canadian streets, playing images that constantly morph in and out of one another as vocalist Luke Gruntz laments a loss of privacy in a data-driven world, all his true thoughts and feelings plastered all over the internet for the world to see.
It’s quite a nightmarish paradox: Living chronically online, but having our worst selves put on display for the world to see (Usually in the form of receipts or exposed videos or spilt ‘tea,’ as the youth are wont to do…)
Cleopatrick’s DOOM EP is out now. Read the review for their 2021 debut album,

Christian doom/death metal - “Realization of Purpose” by TIMŌRĀTUS
This song is part of a four-EP concept story about a man struggling to find faith during the Black Plague. (First is Black EP, then Death EP, Doom EP, and finally Grind EP.) Lyrics:
This life means everything to me The world is lost, without its King With the crushing weight of this sound Please of Lord, send my dreams by angel light The child has grown, furthering in love Your power shows through, my peace improves Days, upon days, upon days... waiting Your love, shines through Your servants, stay true My love, I'll see again For now I have been trusted To guide and protect The times always seem to be changing Changing, always changing (X3) The times always seem to be changing Changing, always changing (X3) Changing, always changing (X3) But they never really do You my God, never change The sins of man have broken all our homes But, Your love has formed our souls The mountains and the seas speak of Your beauty and Your power God, give me strength
So, my friends are complete assholes but I got hammered for free and got to listen to this live.
