My skis were guiding me downhill in a straight line, faster and faster, and with a pull on my back I felt the ground leave from underneath them. Before I knew it, I was flying, soaring through the air. The view as well as the weightlessness made my soul sigh and become at peace. I saw everything in perspective, it all seemed so small and it all seemed to intermingle so intangibly. The hills, the snow, the trees and the people. It was as if this world was a map and I was looking at it, seeing the lines and everything as a whole. The wind was guiding us and when it left for even just a second we came into freefall. I screamed, I saw, I felt. After what seemed like forever and yet also just a second, my feet touched the ground again but my soul stayed weightless.
