As kids I like to think Stanley always brought wild animals to be their pets and Ford sorta starts that in Gravity Falls because there's so many creatures!! He takes a special liking to the tiny tubby dragon.

Was thinking of some designs for Dragon Stan

I feel like he can turn into pocket size too but prefers the size of a small dog most times, it is easier to fir most places and makes his cave seem roomier when he needs to move around.

I'm not sure if he can speak yet, I think he learns eventually to speak while in dragon form but he mostly can't. That or he becomes a selective mute after a while :3

I thought it'd be funny to give him a mullet even in dragon form but I didn't like the spikes despite wanting to make him more classic dragon...I couldn't help it guys! I wanted him to be a fluff ball!!

So I ended up giving him fur for the mullet and stomach, that way he's cuddly but still classic lizard dragon uwu (he makes a great comfort companion, great for cuddles and pressure since he is a bit heavy even small)

Dragon!Stan AU

☆ Stanley's humanoid version is a lot bigger than he used to be. He is taller than his own twin and even Fiddleford (and that twig man is a tall man, he absolutely gay panics because he isn't used to being the shorter one)

☆ He is a chonk when in his little form. Stumpy legs and fat tail and all- I like to think his very first time being a dragon was his little form so it was very...underwhelming. (Still not sure if he grows with the more photographs he hoards or if he just steals them put of spite/fun/jealousy)

☆ Once Stanley accidentally stumbles into Gravity Falls, its over for him, he physically cannot leave. Something always stops him, it's annoying.

☆ Dragons, like unicorns, have some protection thing going for them so as long as Stan is around, Bill can't enter Ford's dreams

☆ Stanley does not speak, he can't exactly- I like to think that he has to use telepathy to speak but it takes forever for him to figure that out so he's stuck with lizard noises (not too sure about this yet though)

☆ Stanford finds the dragon in hopes it's like the fantasies and he sort of wanted to play the hero role where he slays the dragon if its dangerous or befriends it and gains power. He is...certainly dissapointed with his find of what appears to be a little dragon.

☆ Ford thinks Stan is a baby dragon and wonders if their mother got slayed by some dragon slayer...like he had planned on doing. He feels awful and visits often before just attempting to take the baby.

☆ I like to think that for some reason Ford and Fidds just assume that Stan is female. They can't exactly check the gender at a distance due to the fur and when they try Stan attacks them put of embarrassment

☆ Ford likes to sleep with his new companion, having the dragon lay on his chest for compression. It calms him. The dragon may be little but they're like a weighted blanket.

☆ Fiddleford is the one who usually washes and trims the dragon's claws. They like the fur fluffy and surprisingly enough they love showers...although they don't seem to like their claws being cut much. Not that it matters, the very next they they're as sharp as they were before
